Newly implanted, my story
Re: Newly implanted, my story
So great to hear that you recovered quickly and that you are feeling good. And congratulations on the updates, it gives newbies and in general motivation to recover quickly and well. In my opinion, with a surgery like this, the hardest part before and after is much more mental. Thank you

I have the MS.

He pumped me up pretty good, we could hear the muffled sound of the implant un crinkling as the fluid filled the cylinders. My penis was at 90 degrees from my belly, sticking straight out and easily hard enough for intercourse. I felt no pain in the penis, but a little pinchy on the scrotum where the pump bulb was squeezed. As expected, my doc said the more you cycle, the better, and the more you cycle, the more your penis will be stretched, both in girth and to a lesser degree, length.
Note: the pump bulb feels like a marble, it’s hard and doesn’t feel like it moves much when you squeeze it, but it’s definitely moving fluid from the reservoir into the cylinders. The pump on a key chain I was given is very easy to squeeze in comparison because it’s pushing air, not fluid. My message is don’t be surprised, and don’t be afraid, to really squeeze hard on the pump bulb!
I left the office today told that I have no remaining restrictions. I can have sex, lift things, bike and resume other physical activities without any concerns. He said I have healed very well, and somewhat ahead of schedule.

What was your girth before implantation and what is it now?
I haven’t taken any measurements yet but I believe the implant is likely to mak3 me a little thicker than my previous natural state.

Ephi, that’s great that you’ve healed up quick, you must have had the infrapubic install since you’ve been cleared for sex. I had to wait till 6 weeks for clearance, but I waited till week 8 because I still had pain. I has the penoscrotal install.
Let us know how it goes!
Are you a cyclist since you ride a bike? I’m on Strava the cycling app.
Great update!

I had the penoscrotal approach. My doc said I have healed up very well, ahead of expected schedule.
I love to bike, it’s my daily excercise. I’m going to give it a go next week after this batch of spring showers go through this weekend. I wonder if I might need to get a more forgiving saddle?

Thanks. I really think the key to my quick recovery was icing like crazy for the first couple of weeks and just not moving around much during that period. I was blessed with a girlfriend who made it possible not to leave my bed for the first few days and was very encouraging. That very much helped with the mental side of recovery.

Then I can ask what was your length and especially girth before implantation. I am now 6.3 in length and 6.2 in girth. I think between CX and Titan
37 years old. In the past, an active and very athletic guy, suffered after vein ligation. After that, I tried embolization, which did not help. Now I am choosing between CX and Titan

If you do I can recommend Selle SMP saddles, which I've used for many years, going back long before any PC/ED issues.
They are specifically designed to accommodate the male anatomy and take pressure off the scrotum/perineum and prostate (if you still have one).
Last week I got the OK to get back on the bike but it's been raining on and off here ever since, and I'm only a fair weather rider these days.
70 y.o. married from Sydney Oz. PC and nerve sparing RRP 2022, but still profound ED since. Tried pills, injections, shockwave therapy, VED. Finally implanted Mar 6 2025 AMS 700 LGX 21cm x 12mm, no RTEs, MS pump, Penoscrotal.
Now dealing with recovery.

Ephi, I did try a no nose Hobson II saddle, but it was awful because your sit bones have to ride on top of the seat rather than straddling the seat, I was always having to adjust myself.
Try your old seat first, if you still have tightness in your scrotum, it will loosen up more after you are fully healed but you might be ahead of the game.
I use an ISM saddle on my newest Specialized Bike, it has an opening in the nose and is very comfy on long rides, I’ve done 110 miles on it.

On my old Specialized SWorks Tarmac I have a Specialized Power Saddle and even though it looks sporty, it is pretty comfortable on long rides too!

You won’t have any problems getting back on your bike.

Re: Newly implanted, my story
First sex and orgasm last night, four weeks post op.
First, making love WITHOUT fear of not getting or retaining an erection was absolutely amazing. Imagine being able to ONLY think about how good what your partner is doing to you! Just wow!
I pumped up to what I estimate is about 2/3 of what will be my max. More than enough for intercourse!
I was a little hyper sensitive, lube, lube, lube is important, but I did not feel pain. I have just a little soreness this morning which I suspect is just from stretching the tissues.
I feel blessed, and yes, why the f$#k did I wait so long to do the implant!
