Again...I have not had prostate surgery and the Trimix is working but I would rather go bionic sooner or later before I lose my noodle. I have kind of warmed up to the idea of being bionic and with all the rave reviews on this site it seems to make good sense. I just want my insurance to pay for it or most of it.

Thanks

I can tell you from my past experience with my last insurance company.. Humana... they denied my implant because my plan did not cover any type of erectile dysfunction. If you have your Insurance coverage book, look in your exclusion section. If it is not listed as an exclusion then more than likely they will cover it. I switched my carrier to a newer insurance company called Ambetter... I now have my implant... I'm only 5 weeks out, and I have not received my bills of what I owe. I have looked at my insurance online and can see who has been submitted their part. Right now it does not tell me how much will be paid. As of today my cost is $51,258. :o
From what I understand, I should be covered 100%, but we shall see.

That is no surprise to me. Having checked the explanation of benefits on some recent hospital procedures, I find the difference between what the hospital/doctor says they charge and what the allowed charges are can be astounding. I needed a simple pelvic CT scan for diagnosis on my failing implant. The hospital billed charge was $9608.40; the insurance allowed and paid amount was 228.10 with me owing nothing as I had met my out of pocket for the year.

I have found that If you have some kind of negotiating clout, most medical charges are highly inflated fiction. I am finding that hospital charges are inflated by a factor of between 4 and 10 with doctors charges being inflated by a factor of 1.5 to 5.0.

Bottom line, the insurance doesn't pay as much as we think because the negotiate things down. I get to see the negotiated numbers because my plan is self funded by my employer and they want met to know what my healthcare actually costs.

Does/Has Dr.Eid gone thru insurance for anyone here that did an implant with him? While I dont have the greatest insurance, wondering if his office at least tries to get it done thru insurance.
