ElbowRoom, I’d treat this as a routine aspect of implant maintenance. I hope you have solid private insurance coverage, but try not to stress too much about revisions. We’ve all committed to this bionic upgrade, after all. Worst-case scenario? If there’s an infection, it might involve explantation followed by a VED protocol for rehab, or a temporary spacer rod to preserve length, with a new high-performance IPP in 3–6 months. No big deal, just a little downtime for a lifetime of sex. I know, I’m a total optimist, but what the heck. You’ve got this, and I’m hoping it’s a straightforward fix. You’re incredibly lucky to have Dr. Hakky right there in your corner.
