have any of you on trt experienced this or have taken precautions to stop it before it can happen ? "Estrogen blockers" in particular.

Man boobs from estrogen spike (regularly monitor blood) is treated using a drug class called aromatase inhibitors. This med blocks aromatase enzyme that converts androgens into estrogens. Lookup Anastrozole (brand name Arimidex). No need to take if estrogen is in normal range unless you want to bring it down to low normal. Has side effects (no free lunch lol).

Yes he did mention Anastrozole , and when i looked that up , i found arimidex in pill form . Thanks for conforming that lasthope .
ill probably only do trt for 2 months just to see results . man boobs is the opposite of what my goal is , which is to lose body fat ,and get "cut"
after 9 months sitting in a wwheelchairand then crutches , i packed on almost 15 pounds . thats got to go ! :)

I started on dose every two weeks but seemed to have a rollercoaster effect so split the dose and do ever week now with great results. I use a 22ga needle in the thigh and have no issues with giving myself a shot. With insurance it only costs about $25 for 3 months supply so cheep enough. Plan on staying on it til I die!! lol

I used to use the large gauge needle, but recently started using my old tri-mix syringes.
I have no problem filling them and inject in my thighs pretty painlessly. I inject slowly.

I use an 18 ga needle to draw it from vial and then a 22 to inject. Rarely even feel it but occasionally hit a nerve or something and stings a little. Not even in same ballpark as it was injecting timix myself with an insulin needle in my dick!!! That never was a good experience but did it for 16 months at least twice a week.
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast with Classic pump 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong

Rider, I got my testosterone checked a little while back at the wellness clinic that my wife goes to for her pellet hormone replacement (which has been fantastic for her) and it was 660, back when I first got my IPP implant Nov 2021, it was in the 880's and I was a lot more horny back then.

I did go to my primary care doc and it was also in the 660 range but he didn't want to prescribe me anything. :(

The VA won't do anything either with my testosterone in the 660 range. :(

I'm assuming that yours was low and the doc fixed you up with a prescription.

I don't have any problems having sex or climaxing, I just want to feel a higher libdo and get some mental alertness and energy also.

Appreciate any guidance you could give.

Thanks,
SWorks

Mine was in the 180 range when I first used TRT. At first I would use a full mil every other week and my counts would be in the 550-600 range on last day before bi weekly shot. Then I went to every week with half dose and every time I’ve check since it has been on the 800-900 range. Def feel better. If your insurance will pay for TRT just go to another Dr and find one that will prescribe it! You won’t regret it

And how about side effects ,like estrogen to man boobs , and increased red blood cells ,then needing to donate blood ,etc ?
i just received my order of trt cream ,good for a month . Ill try it that long and see if it helps with workouts , basically i want to lose body fat, and I see guys who use trt do well with that .
But ,taking any drug often leads to needing another to combat the side effects.
That, I don't want to get into .

Have had no side effects that I’m aware of other than the positive of feeling more energetic and mentally more aware. No boob issues… lol. My brother is on pellets and he keeps his in the 12-1500 range and works out regularly. He seems to think it helps him build muscle and stay in shape. He also says it helps with his sexual energy levels as in hornier. Think I’ve always had a high sex drive my whole mature life and could say TRT helps but it’s no better or worse than it has always been…. But I’m almost 60 and it’s not going away so there’s that!! lol

cool to all of that ! it's encouraging to hear about the lack of side effects . And most of what i can find on YouTube of people who do trt say the same .
i have the androgen gel actually not cream . Not that it makes a difference
ill try it for a month and see how it goes .
The sitting around for 8 months caused me to pack on 10-12 pounds .
But now at least i am able to do pushups etc and i am avoiding carbs [except for beer on the weekends :) ] and this week i have gone from 230# to 223# [im 6'3" so that's not fat fatty territory] .hoot hoot!
Regarding helping erections , I don't think anything would work on venous leak , which I'm sure i had to some degree , so my neighbor probably didn't have that issue .
He did have a stunning 27-year-old Filipina girlfriend he kept happy , i assume . haha

I tried the gel cream and it only raised my numbers by around a 100 or so. Went back ti Dr and was changed yo injections. Never looked back! Works great and numbers stay up.
