It’s a crapshoot. There are BIG downsides to this procedure. You will end up with a dick that, in its flacid state will be twice the size of normal. It is heavy and uncomfortable all the time. The liquid fill ball in your ballsack is heavy and you will feel it hanging. And many men wind up with reduced or no sensitivity and an inability to orgasm. Read the Anorgasmisa section in Franktalk and you will see that most of the men complaining of an inability to orgasm had a penile implant.
On the other side, most men experience a renewed ability to penetrate and satisfy their partner. Some report improved ability to have an orgasm.
So, what are your goals and what are you willing to risk? If I were you and had an ability to have an orgasm and the need to penetrate no longer existed, I would steer clear of this procedure.

I so, so , so regret this and I hope you think very carefully about it.
With full respect to Mark's experience, which I am very sorry to hear about, it is nevertheless worth noting for the sake of balance that every medical intervention — whether penile implants, routine dental surgery, or even taking a dose of ibuprofen — carries non-zero risk. How many of us here have taken a single dose of ibuprofen without issue? Probably all of us. And yet, there are cases of people taking ibuprofen and experiencing Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, which can be deadly.
Getting a penile implant is a serious procedure. I agree that there are too many thoughtless cheerleaders on this forum. For me, it has been a positive life change. It is not a 100% perfect intervention in my case. As LastHope has noted for himself, it's roughly 80%. But I'll take 80%, and I'm quite happy with it. I weighed the possibility of the negatives and took a calculated risk.
Worth thinking about the next time you reach for ibuprofen. Not everyone has the same experience.
Well said; I agree with all of this. I was actually at 0% prior to implant (only being slightly hyperbolic). Indeed, while not 100%—it isn’t as good as my pre-infection penis (see signature)—I would take 80% over 0% any day.
40. Implanted July 5, 2024, by Dr. Andrew Kramer, Urology Associates of Cape Cod. AMS LGX, 21cm cylinders + 2cm RTEs. Idiopathic "hard flaccid" ED following bacterial infection. Tried pulse waves, Cialis, TRT, even spinal injections. Nada.
