There are several techniques to reduce the fibrosis, but if the fibrosis is too large then a graft is necessary to replace the removed section. Dr. Shaeer talked about several methods for removing the fibrosis. My curvature is probably to large to use simple plication technique.

After my consultation with Dr. Shaeer I tentatively scheduled a consultation and surgery 2 days later but decided to postpone as it was just a few days later and that was just too soon for me and airfares were more than double what I had seen before with more time before the flight. I also want to get back into the gym after my hand surgery and maybe lose 5-10 pounds of weight I have put on lately. To be honest I was also just tired of being consumed by this topic every day and needed a break.

I am heading back to California for a couple of weeks at the end of November and I am thinking I will reschedule the surgery for early to mid December (early Christmas present if you will). If I had enough money I would consider getting it done in the states but I do not think that would work out. Has anyone had a malleable implant with Peyronies repair in the states, if so what was the cost and which doctor did you use?
