Hi Ben, I am curious what caused the numb penis? Did Dr hakky explain?
Surgery is a traumatic event, at least physically. Nerves get moved around and displaced. This can cause periods of numbness, over sensitivity and phantom pain/sensory. In time the body rewires and goes back to normal. While going through the recovery process fear, disappointment and frustration all play with your psyche. Add size loss and penile shape changes and it all weighs heavy. I should note that the other day my wife mentioned my penis is the same as it was prior. Coming out if the surgery I was down to 4.75” x 5”. We broke the tape measure out then it is now 6.125” x 6” today. Thats the same length and 3/8” narrower than prior so basically Im the same size as prior. I actually welcome the narrower size as I was thick to the point that women liked it but could only last for 10 minutes or so. My wife definitely enjoys longer sex sessions now without burning up.
Again, in the end it will be worth it and if Im an indicator, the numbness will come back, symptoms will go away in time.
I had a table saw injury to my right hand and experienced many of the same sensations in my fingers after 3 surgeries (which recovery was much worse than the IPP pain and recovery)
