Re: Update on Coloplast Malleable Surgery
I can't argue with your experience. But I know that I never have recieved one. Not sure why. I guess we will see if he ever replies to you.

Email notifications might be going to your spam folder (you can check in your email spam). Also you can enable or disable them in the franktalk settings.
But 100% sure, you entered your email address into the franktalk website when you registered, as it is a requirement.

I have checked both email accounts that I use. Neither has a spam filter or folder. There is absolutely no emails from Franktalk. As for account settings. Mine have to be on the default settings from when I joined as I haven't changed anything.
Following your logic there has to be thousands of inactive members that are ignoring FT notices.

You have to go into your settings and manually change it to get notifications.
I've suggested in the 'suggestions' section it be made default this way but no one seems interested.
You see a lot of people come to FT for a little bit, get their implant and disappear, probably happily living their lives. They have no idea they have received private messages or questions have been asked on one of their threads. If the site had email notifications as default, they might actually see the email and come back
43, ED since late 20's, Pills on and off since then increasing strengths with inconsistent results. Now 5mg Cialis daily and either 20mg Cialis or 100mg Viagra
Not sure if it's Psychological or Physiological, long-term use of SSRI's probably hasn't helped

I do get private messages & by the bell icon a number shows up if I've been quoted in a thread.

Yeah, but do you get an email notification to let you know. My point is, if you haven't been on the site for a few years or whatever, how would you know?

No matter how its asked. I do not get email notices from FT. Doesn't matter if it's a message or having been quoted.
If I haven't been on FT for a few years. I wouldn't want a message from someone asking a question. I have been asked a question on a private message before & I answered on the forum. I don't see any sense in only answering 1 person. It's simple. Anything that I have to say, I say it to everyone.
Maybe more pointedly. If I had been off of FT for a few years? It seems obvious that either I don't care. I've quit caring or I'm dead. I don't view FT as a social club.
I'm perfectly willing to tell my experiences. I won't debate my experience. It is as I say it is.

Yeah i totally agree this should be enabled by default. And for all those people who never touched the settings, I strongly suggest the owners of this website change the settings for old members (who kept their default), to send email notifications.
It really sucks that sometimes we participate on someone's thread, or send a pm or mention someone, and the person has no clue we even tried to contact them or even there are updates on their thread.
Do the owners of the site read these posts?
