There are many doctors in New York and all over the country that can do a good job of installing an implant.

Eid may not be back to help you so do what you need to do in the few months you have. Get on the phone [NOW) and make a new plan. Stop moping around.

I agree. If I were one of Eid's patients, this is the advice that I would follow.

By the way, I texted a well wishes note to Dr Eid and got a very nice note back from him — didn’t mention his illness, but this gives me hope that it is a temporary sideline for him.

That is great to know. Really hope he will be back soon...

I have decided to wait till next week as advised by Dr. Eid’s office. If I don’t see any positive response coming, I will have no option but to start looking for another surgeon. I am happy to wait for next few weeks for Dr. Eid but they need to communicate clearly about that.

Would anyone here be able to recommend doctors near New Jersey/ New York? I know about Dr. Kramer but he is in Baltimore, another is Dr. Hossein Sadeghi Nejad in New Jersey. Any other recommendations?

I can travel to other cities but would prefer to have someone nearby.

Regards,
Atul

Based upon your stated time limits. Its my opinion that a week waited is a week wasted. Did Eids staff understand how critical your time restaint is?
You can make phone calls & appointments. If Eid becomes available you can cancel the appointments. How would you feel sitting on a plane leaving the USA without an implant or insurance because you ran out of time??
Btw, I'm sure Eids staff would feel bad for you but they can't go back in time.

I have an in-person consultation scheduled in mid March and have not heard anything yet from them.

So either they need days to contact everyone or they do not yet presume it is a long term issue.

Regardless... Prayers for the good doctor...

Actually, this may or may not be of help to you, but Dr Kramer is no longer in Baltimore - he moved to Cape Cod quite a while avo.

And Cape Air (airline) has frequent flights between Cape Cod and NYC.

That doesn't surprise me. No need to clear all his appointments unless he retires/dies. I suspect that they'll do it in like 30 day blocks. The key thing I'd hope to see for his patients is for them to start rescheduling them.
I don't know the man, but from all I've heard he is the trifecta of penile surgeons. Skilled, caring & devoted to his craft.
The world will be a bit poorer when he's gone.

GT1956 -- very well said -- the perfect trifecta rolled into one surgeon. I never got over my amazement at how this man, who had done literally thousands of implants, could be so personable and caring with me, starting with him coming into his office where I was waiting and giving me a warm handshake and patiently explaining the surgery as though I was his first implant patient. And then, a perfect surgery and recovery.

A true pioneer and, in my view, the Master of the masters. Hoping he'll be back at his craft soon and able to help many more patients as he helped me.
