This time next week I will be implanted. I am going with an inflatable implant to give it a try (AMS 700) with Dr. Clavell. We are going to try it and see if it works with my hand dexterity (I hope it works).
34 yo, limited hand/finger dexterity. Tried vacuums, pills, TriMix, and Jelqs and nothing works. Implanted with AMS 700CX 21cm, Right 0.5 RTE by Dr. Clavell in Houston, TX on 5/12/21. Frenectomy 5/11/22 by Dr. Clavell.

Why don't you go for the sliding technique if you have lost 2”. Dr. Clavell does the sliding technique.
I ( 29 M) took Spironolactone 400 mg to treat my hair loss. As a result, the penis shrunk from 6” to 4”. with Severe erectile dysfunction. Looking into the penile implant with Sliding Technique.

If his post history remains true. He is going to Dr. Clavell. So just reading between the lines I'm thinking they've had that discussion.
My inclination is that together, they believe that an IPP will get him most of the way there. So why risk such an involved surgery?
Btw, have you by any chance talked to Clavell about a sliding surgery?

No, I haven’t talked to Clavell about Sliding technique. I talked to one of the urologist in my country about sliding technique. But he was very inexperienced .

I thought that you might have some special knowledge since you seem to advocate for the sliding style procedure so often.
For what little this may be worth. I was able to find a forum member that had the procedure done. He was far from satisfied with the outcome. His added length was considerably less that what he was led to believe that he would get. The risk did not match the results in his opinion as I read his posts.
It seems that a safer method is to search out a doctor that is really good. Then follow the ved study during your recovery. But in the end, I suspect most men end up realizing that a hard dependable penis is worth the chance of losing a cm or maybe two.

Hi, I am now fully bionic and I’m excited. Little discomfort due to the catheter. I will do my best to pose to post as often as I can. Here’s a few photos at the current state.

Still not able to urinate myself so I am doing self-catheterization until my bladder starts waking up. Minor pain at the tip and the underside of my penis. A lot of pressure on the shaft. Dr implanted a 21cm AMS700 CX with a 0.5cm RTE. I will be taking bandages off tomorrow and taking my first shower. Here’s the latest photo.

Welcome to the brotherhood.

I get the impression you've cath'ed before. Most guys run from catheters like the plague and have very little experience with them. Most also wouldn't know how to self-cath without getting instruction from a health professional and a bit of practice. Are you new to catheters, are you a self-cath veteran or did you just get instruction on how to after surgery, just in case?

I have self cath myself before after a spinal cord injury in 2010.
