You’ll never get enough force to inflate fully using the side of your thumb. Need to move your thumb straight up and down.

I've had nothing but problems with my AMS pump from day 1. Mine was positioned one handed for a right handed person and I'm left handed. Locked up every time again and again. A real nut cracker for sure. I finally put a heating pad over it every night for weeks. Really softened it up. only gives me trouble sometimes now is always ready to rocket.

I pump with my knuckle of my index finger and the first joint on my thumb. Squeeze the bulb as close to the block as you can. Less flying off that way. Luck

Not sure why better instructions aren't given for inflation. I am week 3 after first activation, 7 weeks post surgery. At first, I couldn't get much inflation, and deflation was a problem. I remember the surgeon telling me I would feel a vibration when deflating. The video I received said to squeeze the button for about 4 seconds. I finally found that I need to keep squeezing the button until the vibration has stopped. Then sometimes I wait a few minutes, squeeze and press some more. Then it pumps better. My erection is a little fuller now, at first the head flopped a little but getting more support now, as when I get a good pump, the tubes go out more to the head. Still get a little pain in the bottom of the testicles when fully pumped. Hoping over time to get another 1/2 to an inch in length.

No matter how many times I pump and pump my implant I am barely able to get any inflation that is much more than my flaccid state. Eventually it seems like all of the fluid that’s available to go into it is there and it’s not nearly full or hard at all. Additionally the tubes that inflate in my penis only come up so far. My head remains very squishy and soft to the point where it has been difficult having any kind of intercourse because my head is so soft and will not get hard at all making it difficult to penetrate. I keep reading here about all the other guys that have had issues where it gets better and everyone keeps saying that but I am starting to worry that I’ve made a big mistake. How much longer do I have to keep pumping and pumping and pumping before it will get even remotely hard or bigger? It’s been so bad that it’s affected my mood where as I was so excited that I was finally going to be able to function again sexually but now I am even less able to do so then before my implant, making me wish I had just decided to live with what I had, because it’s certainly more than what I have now.

Hey Turbo... it's been a while since you posted. There were lots of great replies. So, how are you doing now??

I was told to hold by my urologist to hold the button for 7 seconds (I do "1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi," etc.) and then with the button still pushed down to "milk"* the small amount of fluid still in my penis till it is fully deflated. This has worked for me.

* For some guys milking involves the whole hand gripping the penis with the thumb close to the glans, and for other guys it is with the thumb close to the base of the penis. I call the second method "reverse milking," and that is what I do personally. (No, reverse milking, not reverse cowgirl, you perve!) ;)

Turbo,
Title of your post caught my attention.
I see, your post was exactly 3 months after your implant.
I had my implant 7 weeks ago today and I am asking myself same questions every day. And, the more time is passing by, I am more disappointed.
I made huge mistake and I am worse then I was before implant.
I still don’t know if sex will be possible with what is left of my penis?

Dr. Perito explained a good way to pump.

Using two hands, hold back of pump with fingers to keep it from slipping. Then use both thumbs, one on top of the other and squeeze. Good luck!

If you could have sex before getting implanted, then yes, you made a huge mistake.

If you couldn't have sex, then at least you made an effort to do so.

I'm sorry things haven't worked out for you. Implantation is a last resort option. Nothing is guaranteed in life.

Freddy,
For sure, I did not do this for fun. It was necessity.
I am Prostate Ca survivor and radical prostatectomy rendered me 100% impotent. Whole my trouble started after prostate removal.
I did not have sex for 22 months, just couple of unsuccessful attempts, and this continues after implant. At 7 weeks post implant, my implant still did not loose its virginity.
Should I be happy with “status quo”, shouldn’t I?
