Implant Journey - Indian Shah Implant (Malleable)
Re: Implant Journey - Indian Shah Implant (Malleable)
Ready2go, I looked through the FDA's event database and one physician has documented something similar to yours. Please see attached. Boston Scientific says it's a "known risk".

I think it's by surgeon's clinical judgement during the pre-op doppler ultrasound with either a full inflation or a Trimix induced erection on the unimplanted. Anecdotally it sounds like 6 inches (circumference) as ready2go stated. The surgeon could order MRI for precise corporal diameter measurements, like how they measure tumor progression in oncology, but I don't hear this too often during pre-op implant consults in urology. In my case, he said 13mm rod was already on the tighter side for my corpora during surgery.

JH2007 is a pornstar on this board with, I think, a 26cm Tactra. His girth and length are both well above average. He does not seem to have this “hanging” problem in his post-op porn vids. So, who knows? I wish they would try to actually figure these issues out to resolve them.
40. Implanted July 5, 2024, by Dr. Andrew Kramer, Urology Associates of Cape Cod. AMS LGX, 21cm cylinders + 2cm RTEs. Idiopathic "hard flaccid" ED following bacterial infection. Tried pulse waves, Cialis, TRT, even spinal injections. Nada.

That’s great to hear about JH2007’s outcome. I suspect Tactra may have unresolved curvature issues. Attached is another report that suggests inherent curvature flaws in some devices. Nitinol is a highly promising alloy, in fact the best for durability, but achieving the intended shape memory requires a complex manufacturing process. It’s been 6 years since Tactra’s release, so hopefully, the curvature issues have been addressed by now with some manufacturing tweaks.

so its either defective or broke when implanted , maybe from being bent too far. ill look into filing a inquiry/complaint with Boston scientific.
Thanks for that post lasthope .

all the way down to the balls . no stiff hinge or needing to "bend" it
Was it like that when you first got it? Why would it do that? I thought the problem was that they won’t go down!
Has this made sex or masturbation more difficult?
oh, no sex isn't a problem . It works just fine for that . the girls i have been with love to do cowgirl and ride /grind on it till they reach happyland . When I'm on my back ,it tends to be upright but will lean to either side some .
when i do say doggie style i need to hold it to insert it ,then its fine . the same with missionary .

Maybe you have some downward curvature due to the imperfect bend memory of Nitinol core. Well, no malleable has picture perfect bend memory. Since you are sexually very functional, I doubt there's a breakage, ready2go.
Here's the consumer medwatch link to file any device concerns to the FDA. Bringing this up to Boston Scientific is a great idea.

its as if it has no bend memory . at least at the hinge area . i can pull it upright and keep it there with sung underwear , but if released it will drop from gravity .
If it was like the shah where it stays up and needs to be held down . i would rather have that .
i did send a email to BOSTON SCIENTIFIC . Ill wait and see if they respond ,and check out the FDA site

That sounds like a much better design! Is the Sha available in the US?

So i was thinking with the penoscrotal approach, the rods would have to bent in a u shape to insert them and with the subcoronal ,it would be more of a straight shot .
and after watching 2 horrible videos of both methods . that is true . the rods are not bent in the subcoronal method at all . While with the penoscrotal method ,they are folded until they touch . and why i think you guys who had the subcoronal approach had a longer time to be able to bend the malleable , the rods being fully intact and never being bent yet .
im thinking the rods i had inserted in the penoscrotal method were damaged in the process at the hinge area . and dr sabharwal does not want to admit it .
i did send a note in email to boston sclentific ,[good luck that getting info ,its like chasing your tail ] they do have a phone number , but calling them from the Philippines is another issue . no more skype

ill bet an exray of the malleable would show some damage to the core
