Who was the football player on his 16th implant? I am sure you can find a doctor that will replace is as often as you can pay for them.

Lenny,

For some reason I doubt my insurance would cover this. Kramer and Eid are out of network, and by now I would only consider those two. My other issue is that I am a 26. I have basic Obamacare catastrophe insurance. It basically does nothing. I think a lot of guys here, who are older, have that medicare hook up. Health insurance has left the younger generations in the dust. But I may be wrong about what my insurance can do. I fully plan, and am capable of, financing an implant surgery with Kramer completely out of pocket.

Alibaba,

Find out who that is for us. This topic is one of the make it or break it deals for me. And being that I am relatively young, I may need to get this thing replaced multiple times in my life.

I will try to look it up when I get a chance. I am shocked scar tissue is not more than the size of his dick after that many but I read a couple reports on him about 4 years ago. I know 1 person who had 1 failure and 3 botched and is on his 5th. Everyone I've talked to that has had multiple implants says the second round is easy. Insurance is a bitch to get an implant. Just the proof that you need one and proof that the reason is not to promote conception was a several year battle for me. 9 more years and Medicare eligible if it still exists by then. I have found no agent who can tell me what coverage I have until the policy is purchased and delivered and I have spent days on the phone and in office with brokers shopping. Be well, best of luck.

Alibaba,

So you are saying, from your experience, most people say that the 2nd surgery is easier to go through than the first?

I guess this makes sense. I mean the first time around you get your cavernosums destroyed.

Cnid, my insurance would not tell me if the implant would be covered or not. I didn't know about these message boards. To find out if the procedure is covered by your medical plan, you can call them and ask customer service. The better way is to download the benefits book they publish on What's covered or not. This benefits book will also tell you patient costs.

I looked but did not find the stories about the football guy who had all the implants. Either I am not wording my search properly or as I suspect, more searches are directed to advertising for doctors doing implants.

Well we arent getting many responses from younger guys with implants. Maybe I should start a new thread titled specifically for that, or there just arent that many guys out there that fit this criteria who can respond to this.

Im sure when I have my consultation with Kramer that he can give me some great information about this. However, as good and as trust worth as he appears to be, he is still the guy selling me the implant. I would rather have some anecdotal evidence from implantees to confirm or deny what he is going to tell me.

Hi Cnidium and other franktalk members,

Wanted to bump this post again as I get closer to making a decision. I'm in my early 30s and could be looking at multiple replacements over my lifetime. In a worst case scenario, if I needed 5+ replacements would that really be possible and do the risks materially increase each time?

Also, does anyone have info on how much replacement from a top surgeon like eid or kramer would cost? I understand the device may be covered, but what about surgery costs, hospital fees etc?
