Yet when I stand some stiffness returns, so I get 10% stiffness.
Its quite painful to walk with 10% stiffness.
Is this normal to get residual stiffness when standing, yet when sitting or lying down it returns to 0% stiffness?

Apparently so.
This passage, I excerpted from an article I found at:
http://pmj.bmj.com/content/76/891/22.fullpatients must be aware of the likelihood of auto-inflation during the first three months. This occurs because the intra-abdominal reservoir is compressed by intra-abdominal pressure, forcing fluid into the cylinders. After 3 months a fibrous capsule has usually formed around the reservoir, which prevents transmission of abdominal pressure, so it is important in this early period to ensure that the reservoir remains at its maximal capacity.
(Suppositions on my part: The lockout valve may or may not reliably prevent this, and may "settle in" after a time or the reservoir may be being compressed when you stand, but not so much when you lay down. Gravity may have an influence, too. The good news is that this self-inflation reportedly usually abates after a while. )
