Relax. It’s all going to be ok. Here’s what to expect:

The day of your surgery and much of the day after, you won’t feel much pain. They use a long lasting numbing drug during surgery that slowly wears off.

After that you will be really sore and uncomfortable for 2-3 weeks, but you will not be in sharp agonizing pain. I took a total of 2-3 narcotic pain pills, using ibuprofen and tylenol for the rest of the time. It is important and essential that you ice the area continuously. This lowers the pain and soreness and speeds recovery.

Yes, you will grow weary of being sore, but every day is a little better. By week four I was having sex again. So, I was pretty sore for four weeks, but that soreness never kept me from sleeping and once the sex commenced with a wonderful hard on, I never looked back!

Hi macoza, I wonder about your deadline for sex in April. As of my own experience with 8 weeks post surgery, you better don't put a timeline for recovery and sex. That can fire back, take your time and let your body and your surgeon tell you what's possible and what not. We are all different and what works for one does not mean it works for you.
I wish you all the best and hopefully your recovery goes well so April is on. :D

have a great new years eve and a happy, healthy and bionic 2026 everyone.

But I'm NOT going to wait 5 years or 5 months before I have sex with my gf. Thats not going to fly and it wont make any sense in getting an implant.

That said, I'm going to have sex with my gf in April, no question.

.

I'm five weeks and one day post surgery. We've been having sex for almost 2 weeks now. It's both wonderful and terrible at the same time :D
But it gets better every day so I'm sure that at 3 months out you will definitely be having sex with your girlfriend.
Also from my experience you will be going at it far more often than you ever have before. Your biggest worry should be that she is able to keep up with your libido :D

Tough to relax this close but just go through your check list and know you are prepared. My biggest worry was that my surgery was going to be cancelled.
Positive thought.

I had a bad fall into the hold of my boat and ripped my biceps in two, tore all 5 rotator muscles, broke 2 ribs and fractured my arm just 3 weeks prior to my scheduled implant date. Spoke with both Drs and they both agreed that if I didn’t have any complications after my shoulder surgery that I could keep my implant date. So had a major reconstructive 4-1/2 hour shoulder surgery and then 2 weeks to the day had my implant. I always said I had a very good and easy recovery with little pain….. truth is probate the shoulder was such a rough recovery that I didn’t have the capacity to feel any other pains!! lol. Actually both surgery went well and recovery was good on both. I never got worried or concerned as I had decided this was for the best and was totally committed to getting it done. Good luck and hang in there.

Damn that hurt!

Anxiety is common. You are getting your junk cut on and there are risks involved with the decision you have made. My blood pressure was pretty high the morning of my operation. Anti anxiety meds brought it down though. Things have gone well for me other than my left testicle remaining a little forward moved from the pump and still is tender because it gets squeezed or pinched fairly easily like for example when I go to tie my left shoe. Other than that I was cleared for sex at 6 weeks and that has been going great. A little tender the first couple of times but now no issues at all. May the Lord give you peace and a quick issue free recovery.

Macoza, just sharing what my surgeon told me. He said if your priority is a natural flaccid hang, go with AMS. If you want the girthiest possible erection, the Titan is usually the better bet. Length is not an issue. Mercedes vs BMW - don't overthink.

Greatly appreciate your prayers and concern brother.

Would you tell me why you chose AMS though? Seems like many love prefer it over Coloplast. I'm on the fence about which device to use, with my doctor still on vacation I can't get a professional opinion on it.

Let me know please... time is ticking away before my surgery next week! Thank you!
.

My doc thought that would be best mainly because of the decreased risk of infection and frankly (pun intended) I think it's the brand he deals with mostly. I'm happy though, there are no dog ears or weird flaccid issues that coloplast implantees complain about. It's just bigger flaccid and a bit more rigid than before because of the tubing. I will say that the tenacio pump is pretty big though. It is by far the most noticeable part of my implant.

I got mine done in august this year.
Looking back at 2025 it was easily the best decision I made this year.
I understand your nerves but dont let them stop you.

My first implant was in 2006 and I almost backed out because I was scared. I talked to my surgeon a few days before and said if I wanted to cancel he would understand, but after further conversation i decided to go ahead. I think your reaction is perfectly normal and this is a great forum for support from those of us who have had the surgery. I wish you all the best in whatever you decide.
