After my 2013 prostatectomy I’ve dealt with progressively worsening ED, requiring increased dosage of ED meds, then to injections, which led to scarring and then injections were very hit-or-miss.

Wish my uro had informed me better about the IPP/MPP options, but that’s water under the bridge. Went in Wednesday to UCSD and Dr Patel chose the CX over the LGX because of the scarring and bend that I’ve had since starting my injections. Felt well enough by the afternoon to check out of the hospital instead of staying over. Went in yesterday for catheter removal and it was a breeze. Minimal swelling in the scrotum but some annoying swelling at the incision where he placed the reservoir. Pain is manageable- took the heavy stuff to sleep on night one and since then it’s been Tylenol and Celebrex.

As everyone does, I left the hospital partially inflated. But damn, partial inflation is a LOT harder than this boy has felt in years! I can already tell that after persistent cycling and a couple of months, I’ll be back to my pre-surgery size. It’s hard to imagine what 100% inflation is like.

Can feel and move the pump, but I don’t need to do the daily tugging because Patel puts a suture in to prevent upward migration of the pump. Surprised that I could feel it on day one post op, but the swelling there isn’t bad. Still have a bend to the left (20 degrees or so) which doesn’t bother me, but the CX may straighten that out with full inflation.

Because I live 2 hours east of San Diego, Dr Patel suggested that we move my two week check to three weeks out and skip the 6 week visit if all is well at 3 weeks. Activation and cycling begin then.

Wife has been incredibly supportive, anxious, and now looking forward to us being rabbits again!

Thanks again to everyone who contributes so much to this forum, especially SWorks (my inspiration for getting back on the bicycle soon), LGXDownunder, pjt1958, Kodixx, DanBionic and many more. Will post updates soon!

Good for you my friend, my surgery is this week and I'm getting the AMS 700 LGX, I am super nervous, It's going to be an overnight stay, I have two hour cab journey the following morning which I'm worried about being uncomfortable.

I don't know if anyone was ever recommended to use Hibiwash antibacterial wash but oh my god, this thing is a miracle.

Got the MS pump. My surgeon has never been a fan of the Tenacio. I’m 5 days behind you. Speedy recovery!
