JohnDoe, I experience the same thing as you.

Sorry to hear you have to deal with this and good luck with the process and procedure etc. It sucks to have to go through it, but hopefully all goes easy and well.

Do any of you with these pumps ever experience any loss of rigidity after being inflated over time? I heard that deflation over time, especially being rough with it, can possibly be an issue with these pumps as well. And, that this had been warned about, and action had been requested some time ago and that BS was not very responsive... until now it seems. This is just what I heard earlier this year from someone reputable in the field.

That appears to be Canada, but I don't see my number listed in that bulletin so that might only include those sold in Canada. I can't seem to find info anywhere but my Boston Rep emailed me back and is supposed to call me this afternoon or tomorrow with more info. Stay tuned..

Wooody, I have not experienced that with mine. I really like how mine functions, even though one-touch doesn't work.

JohnHC, it is on a Canadian website, but my understanding is that the list is not specific to country. Its easier to search if you click the Up arrow button under "Model or catalogue number". That puts it in serial number order.

Didn't they discontinue the MS pump? I'm glad I played "opposites" with my revision. I'm not enamored of the Titan's feel when flaccid (if you can call it that) but lately it sounds like there's a particular QC issue with Boston Scientific's pumps.

I have heard the MS pump is still available and has become the preferred choice over the Tenacio for some doctors.

Must be. I feel bad for OP--surgery sucks and even when covered by insurance has costs.

I have the MS pump on my 6 month old LGX implant, fitted in Australia. It's still available here AFAIK and my surgeon seems to prefer it.
I'm happy with how it functions and I give it a good workout every day. No issues with it so far.

Finally implanted Mar 6 2025 AMS 700 LGX 21cm x 12mm, no RTEs, MS pump, Penoscrotal.
Recovery great so far but have a bend.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!!!

Ok from what I just learned from my Boston Rep, these pumps are all hand assembled at the factory. On one of the assembly lines and on certain lot ranges/serial numbers - a few may have had the tubing pushed in too far causing the tubes to narrow which makes them very difficult to inflate and deflate. It does not have anything to do with the release button or it's operation. So as long as you can pump it up and deflate it normally then most likely your pump is ok.

If you can't inflate it or deflate it then you might have one of these pumps. Now since they do test inflations in the operating room most of these were of course caught and rejected before they were implanted but a few might have slipped by and that is why they are doing a voluntary recall on these certain lots and serial numbers. So again if your pump is working good at inflating and deflating you are most likely good.

The ability to press and lock in the valve is purposely hard in order to make sure that there are no mistakes as you really wouldn't want it to accidently deflate while you're being intimate. Hope this helps out and doesn't stress anyone out.
