Sex is a time to unwind, de-stress, feel good and bring you closer together with your parnter. (Or a moment of intimacy with a one night stand).

When that becomes an emotionally draining experience, the fun and excitement are sapped out of it. And the 'benefits' of sex almost become non existent.

This can roll over in to your life. Going to work stressed or forecasting another ED experience and how awkward it will become can be embarrassing and mind consuming. Even if the ED cause is not due to mental, it can consume your thoughts.

I find having ED has prevented a deeper connections with past partners and that in itself can manifest in different ways.

When you find a solution to ED (for me its injections until the implant happens), I found sex, the excitement and intimate moments where ten-fold better. I left feeling relaxed and that euphoric buzz lasts for days or even a week.

When good quality sex happens (which we all deserve) you simply feel good, and your motivated to tackle life!

Good sex is not only intimacy, but trust and basis to a relation-ship, without sex your relation-ships are useless and break, I had it in 4 marriages, which after very short time, when the kids came, went asexual and after 40 years of asexual relation-ships it seems so that you become a person with no real sense in life, especially when your "career" ends and you loose your professional life that you've invested in so much (because of no sex).

All your organs are dependant on hormones, like testosteron, your exitement and mood on Adrenalin and Dopamin etcetera, so in general a good quality sex provides you with drive and energy. Your sexual health and general health get worse. Without sex you become mental issues and loose self-confidence, with time you become a psychogenic wreck.

I think, developing ED one should not wait and waste too long with pills and injections, especially when they become less functional.
I think an implant is the best solution to fight these horror disease and start life again!

drayan123, probably depends on a guy's situation. A guy with low sex drive and infrequent relations its probably not as bad. But yeah for a guy with a healthy sex drive and used to frequent relations its very tough. So if that's you then you definitely aren't the only one.

I feel like after I got Ed I’ve lost my purpose and don’t have interest in anything am I the only one ?

The irony is that when you get ED it becomes an obsession because you can’t give it up… even when your libido falls you can’t stop focusing on why and how to regain both libido and erectile function. So the first reason to fix this is actually to stop thinking about it so much… and maybe this ties into what it feels like to “be a man”… the confidence that you can just perform on demand and lay it down whenever the time is right is simply the freedom not to have to think about it all the time, which lets you fantasize about productive things again.
