Day 3 after procedure.
In a pretty good headspace at the moment…touch wood.
Dick still pretty much black and blue as expected. Ball sack only slightly swollen. I’m taking all meds that they gave me so I also only have minimal pain or discomfort
My only real concern last night was if the pump was low enough in the scrotum. I could reach the pump easily but not so easily for the deflate button.
From day 3 the guidance notes said to pull the pump down into the scrotum a few times a day. I tend to go overboard with directions and end up stuffing things up (eg pull down until it hurts). I got into my support person who said just gently pull and wiggle it. Glad I made the call.
There was another exercise in the guidance notes, to gently pull the penis outwards from the body. My support person said I didn’t need to start doing this. Best to let things settle down. I see them next week. Can’t wait
Actually now trying to chill out. Laying down most of the time and actually put a bag of frozen peas on my crutch for the first time. Guessing that it can only help.
Good luck to all the blokes that are in the early days of having an IPP implant.

Hi Wodjathat,
your recovery looks pretty good and I think you do well with relaxing and waiting things settle down.
All the best to you!

Good to hear your optimism.
Pain advise. When you decide to reduce pain killers don’t reduce ibuprofen till last. Continue with ice and alternate heat, especially before naps and night time.

Thanks for your advice. It makes sense. I will certainly ramp up on using the frozen peas. I think with all the medicines that I have been taking it has masked the pain very well, perhaps too well.
I had a closer look at my black and blue dick after I had a shower, it is not a pretty sight, It’s girth is 6 inches! Prior to the IPP I think I was 5,5 inches girth when erect. Obviously a bit of swelling to get rid off.
Thanks again

Hi mate,
I hope the recovery is still going well. I saw that Dr Love had you go into the hospital the night before the procedure. How long were you in after that?
I'm just curious because i will be travelling from Adelaide when i eventually have it done. From what i understand, is that i will have to stay in Vic for at least a few days. Are you in Vic yourself?
Thanks
Shane

Originally I was scheduled to have the op on Tuesday. From memory I was to be admitted to the hospital in the morning. They would then hook me up with an intravenous thingy that fed bag fulls of antibiotics or whatever into prior to the op. This takes a few hours. Operation would be in the afternoon. Most patients would then stay a night and head home the next day. Dr Love was going to let me stay in the hospital an additional night because I had no carer to look after me when I left the hospital.
But I got a call saying they could operate on Monday morning. I agreed so I then got admitted to hospital the night before at 5pm. They hooked me up with the intravenous stuff and started the antibiotics process that night.
Operation was the next day (in the morning). Most patients would then stay the night in hospital and go home the next day. I stayed the extra night. The unexpected bonus was they kept giving me additional antibiotics intravenously. The nurses were also very good.
My first post op appointment is scheduled for Thursday 31 July. I have chosen to stay at a motel nearby up until that check up. That is where I am right now. After that I drive home, about a two hour drive.
Given your situation if given an option I would most certainly choose a morning surgery so that you are admitted into the hospital the night before. I would also ask Dr Love to have an additional night in hospital.
I am sure you would be okay to travel home the next day, but again if I were you I would seriously consider staying at a nearby motel for a few more days before heading home. I am now 4 days post op. All I can say is that it feels a lot better than day one or two,
Hope this helps you a bit.

Day four post op
Pretty much writing this so I have a journal of sorts that I can refer back to. Also because I am bored shitless lying down most the time letting things settle down.
The downsides. Having a pee is a bit problematic at times. Sometimes I get the urge but either nothing comes out or very little, a real dribble . Other times I get a nice flow. Other times I have to hold my breath and push to get a flow. Not overly concerned, I’m sure things will settle down.
Also everything still feels tender and fragile, so I am taking it easy. Went for a very short walk.
Take three showers a day where I take the opportunity to grab the pump and gently wiggle it downwards. At first it was hard to feel for the release button. But as the swelling decreases it is less hard to find……I think.
Diligently taking tablets for next few days. Rather now be on top of pain than chasing it.
Try and keep dick pointing north which ain’t to hard to do wearing athletic type shorts over my underwear.
Tonight I’m watching a very one sided AFL game so I decided to go bareback lying on the bed. Gave a good gentle massage and a gentle tug on the pump. Swelling certainly going down. Although the dick is still very black and blue, its girth now is 5 inches. A couple of days ago it was 6 inches.
Looking forward to my first check up next Thursday.

Wodjathat, verything looks fine and improving.
The pee is going to be better, when the swelling decreases.
For day 4 after surgery you are improving daily, however don't be bored, but full with hope and think of the best sex of your life, which is going to come soon!

Re: Another Downunder gets done downunder
One week down. As before, my journal of my journey. If it helps others that are considering and wanting to get a feel (excuse the pun) for what it’s like to get an implant, I hope it helps you a little. But from my understanding, journeys can vary considerably for different people.
My only advice that I would strongly give if you decide to proceed is the choice of the surgeon is the most important decision that you have to make.
Okay, back on day two (I think) when they took the bandage of my cock I think I was 5 inch length but definitely 6 inch girth. I was impressed! But today, seven days later, 4 inches length and just over 5 girth. Less impressive but more comfortable.
I think that I was pumped up 30% but I may have misheard. I just hope that when I start cycling that it just doesn’t get harder but that I gain some length as well (fingers crossed)
What was a very much a black and blue cock is very much better. It still has that reddish type colour, in a day or two I expect all the bruising to go.
The ball sack is a little behind but definitely improving. I think that there is still some swelling, it just seems a little bigger than normal. But I can easily feel the pump. The deflate button is a bit more problematic to find. Not stressed at this stage. I’m not scheduled to start cycling until mid way through week 5.
Just got to say for those of you that started cycling in week one, I am very impressed. Very much so.
My only issues in last few days was I found it hard to pee sometimes. At times I really wanted to go and at best could only literally dribble out a few tablespoons and not feel empty. At other times I found myself holding my breath and pushing. If I didn’t do this the flow (as feeble as it was) would stop. The best pee experience was definitely when having a shit.
Thank you to whoever recommended bringing a urine bottle. When sitting down to have a poo, I would use the urine bottle. There was no way I could point it down into the bowl.
My only other scary moment was when I saw blood on the head of my penis. I am not circumcised and the head was always exposed and got very dry. It just cracked open a bit and there was blood. I was concerned about bacteria entering. Put on some Betadine and after that some moisturising / barrier cream. All good now. Still a little battered and bruised, but okay.
My only exercise regimen was to gently massage the shaft and ball sack (to alleviate swelling) as well as the incision. Also to gently wiggle the pump downwards. I do this religiously three times a day.
Get my first checkup this Thursday. Be nice to have a bruise free dick and sack by then. I hope they can confirm where the release button is.
I have agreed to be part of a Rigicon study, so I guess I’ll be asked a few questions. Again, may be wrong but I think that this study may help out USA brothers to make Rigicon as another approved option.
Sort of happy where I am right now. Still take all the meds including the painkillers. Rather than feel pain, I just feel tender. Next few weeks will drag, but that’s life. Pretty confident that the light at the end of the tunnel is not a big fucking train coming the other way (fingers and dick crossed)

Thanks for sharing.
Do you know what your measurements were before surgery? I’m 20 days post-op and have similar measurements (4” L and 5” G) which is roughly 2” smaller than my pre-op size. The Rigicon nurse told me I can start cycling at my next check up (4 weeks post-op).
Implanted with Rigicon Infla10 Pulse X (22 cm cylinders + 1 cm and 0.5 cm RTEs) on 8/07/2025 by Dr. Chris Love.
Pre-op size was 6” L and 7” G.
Too soon for me to measure post-op size.
