When you say "numbness", do you mean in the glans, or where exactly? As numbness can be interpreted differently.
In my case, after my last surgery i feel discomfort near my glans, sensation is there but i don't get engorgement and when i masturbate it often feels uncomfortable instead of pleasurable. I also lost sensation in the underside of my penis (not related to the glans).

Re: Numbness after surgery
When I say numbness, I guess I mean anywhere that impacts orgasm or general enjoyment of sex. For me, I have a 1 inch in diameter section where I can feel on the right under the glans. Otherwise, it’s numb dick everywhere else.
In reference to another comment, I had the penescrotal approach. Clearly, the nerves above the penis are left in tact. But, I am numb nevertheless. It would seem that the very process of making an incision can impact the surrounding tissue all the way up to the glans. Or is it the process of inserting the tubes. I don’t know and wish the fuck that I could get a surgeon, any surgeon to explain. It seems like this is something that implant surgeons don’t want to own up to or explain. It’s frustrating.

Osprey_1, my apologies if I mentioned this in another thread, and I don't mean to repeat, but I'd urge you to consider having a neurologist evaluate the issue. And preferably one that does not work at the same health system as your surgeon. I know neurologists can do nerve testing in some cases, but I don't know if that's true with this.

Osprey, how long ago was your surgery? Have you considered getting a second or third opinion from other surgeons?
I did have a whole section of skin from my scrotum at the base of my penks all the way up to 2/3rds of the penis on the underside which was numb right after surgery, and it partially returned after several months

Osprey, have you tried getting a second opinion from other doctors? Just for peace of mind.

Re: Numbness after surgery
No I have not solicited other opinions. Here is the problem as I see it. Prior to surgery, I interviewed three implant surgeons in my area ultimately choosing the high volume surgeon. I specifically asked all three doctors whether sensation will be impacted. I got the same answer from all three. “Sensation should not be impacted by the procedure and whatever sensation you had prior to surgery will be maintained. If you are able to have an orgasm before, you should be able to have an orgasm after.” The answers were remarkably consistent. There are a number of YouTube videos on the internet by prominent implant surgeons and they all parrot the same statements. Yet, when I search through the Franktalk archives searching on “numb”, I find hundreds and hundreds of instances where patients ended up with numb dicks and an inability to have an orgasm. I conclude that this is something that the entire implant industry is aware of but, for reasons of their own, refuse to own up to. So, to your question, I do not expect to get much support from any second party implant surgeon. I feel that I am on my own to solve this … If it can be solved at all.

In my experience, doctors never admit when they make a mistake. They will always tell you everything is normal and will gaslight you thst they did everything perfectly.
Your option is to get a second opinion or wait and see if it resolves on its own.
And I agree with you, the surgeries have many more risks than the doctors try to admit.
