Went from 105cc to a full 125cc and girth grew a lot

Could you please tell me what was the cause of your erosion ? Is your erosion resolved by now ? What's the prognosis of these grafts ?

Thanks for letting us be more cautious.[/quote]

Two leading surgeons (dr Eid and dr kholar from mayo) told me it’s because I’m inflating it to much. They want me to inflate to 85%. The surgeons think I’m still at risk of erosion. I’ve had the implant for 9 years. Most men getting the implant are older and won’t need to have as many revisions as me (I’m 40 yo). Anyone on this website who is trying to gain girth is putting themselves in jeopardy of erosion. The only way to gain girth is to inflate past the maximum which will cause erosion.

The grafts are nice a cushioned. They make the tips of the implant less defined. I think I was told that they are not stronger than the natural glans tissue so they will degrade at the same rate. You have to be very proactive about erosion. A lot of men will not address it because they are scared and ashamed. Don’t do this because this may cause the dr to remove the implant for good and bye bye having any more erections after that.

I'm 27....I completely agree...Risking erosions and infections—sometimes for marginal or insignificant gains—could lead to what urologists call "end-stage penis," where no implant can be inserted at all. This should be a major concern for younger men, as they will inevitably require multiple revisions throughout their lifetime. Unfortunately, most of the discussions I see on this forum revolve around size rather than implant or penile survivability.

where was the location of the erosion? Was it distal (at the tips) or on the sides? What implant model was used? Did you have Peyronie’s disease? Additionally, should inflation not exceed 85%? From what I’ve seen, implantees often inflate until the pump can no longer be squeezed. If I recall correctly, some high-volume implantologists recommend inflating to that point.

Was a malleable prosthesis considered at any stage of your journey, particularly during consultations with Eid or Kohler ?

Again, thank you for such awareness.

Distal on both left and right cylinders. Titan 24cm. Both doctors are suggesting to not fill to 100%. Both doctors do not like malleable.

I just read through your thread from February where you were excited about the extra 20cc and even advocating for it. Did the erosion occur in just a few months? Did the doc put in a larger implant?
42 ED for 9 years vl after a fall. Pre implant 8 1/4 bp x 6 1/8 ish
Clavell titan 26+1 rte…post op very excited: 8 5/8” x 6 1/2” mid and way over 7” base. (We’re up to 6.5” girth!!!!)

Yeah that 20cc was 3 years ago I believe. I should delete the post. The erosion has me very worried. I trusted a lot of men here when they said I’d gain back my lost girth which I haven’t and now I’m experiencing a lot of erosion.

The erosion may have took awhile. I purposefully ignored it for years by not touching the head of my penis to feel where the tips were sitting at.

Your outcome sounds really good though, hopefully you don’t get erosion like I did.

How did you realize you had erotion? what were the first symptoms?

And how are you now? what did the doctors say after the repair? i see you changed a 26cm for a 24cm implant. Did you lose length because of the change? or still kept same length through all the revisions?

I realized I had erosion when the tips of the implant became a lot more easy to feel when touching my glans. Pain is often also a symptom but for me only my left side hurt even though both sides had significant erosion.

The length of my erection is about the same after switching to 24cm cylinders. The surgeon added tissue to the glans, so that compensated for the the shorter 24cm cylinders.

Everyone should measure and keep track of where their tips are. They can eroid distal, your urethra, and laterally.

By easier to touch, you mean as in they were getting closer to the very end of your penis? or you mean as in they were in the same position but your glans tissue was thinner? I am trying to picture what the symptoms look like in case it ever happens

First you notice the tips are farther into your glans. Like originally they were half way lets say and then you notice they are now 3/4 the way into the glans. The further they are into the glans the thinner the tissue becomes. At some point you will be able to feel the tips just by gently rubbing the tip of your finger on your glans. You will feel the tips even if your glans are engorged because of how much erosion has happened.

The surgeon says he’s even seen guys whose tips burst through his glan skin. He said that the guy came in a month prior to discuss a revision because of the erosion and by the time the surgery came around the tips had now burst through his skin. The surgeon told me once you notice erosion you need to stop using the implant until you have a revision to fix the erosion.
