Do you know if he does any initial consults by phone or video call? I’m guessing yes in this day and age.

I know there are men here who flew in for their surgery, stayed a couple days then went home. I’ll think their initial consult was a video visit and their pre operative cardiac clearance was done with their local docs. I think they had an office visit with Dr Eid the day before surgery. Then went home on day 3.

But one of those guys will chime in. I’m sure a phone call to his office staff can get you that info as well.

The guy is the best. Worked on me October 2018. I live in south Florida and would go to him should I require further assistance. I had an easy recovery and a PERFECT RESULT. I have not required any assistance since the surgery. Should I need anything in the future I will jump back on the plane and go see him. Don’t hesitate over a plane ride. As I remember he did surgery on a Saudi prince right before my surgery. Enough said!

You can about read my not so great experience with Eid if you like(I had a very difficult recovery and an IMPERFECT result, which Eid was dismissive of):

Is he a LOT more expensive, or just at the upper limit of average ($30k or so as I understand)?

He is the most expensive cash price implanter I've seen, but not by a massive amount. I'd imagine Clavell or Hakky would be about $5k less

$8k more vs a Hakky in-office procedure out-of-pocket, costs are about the same between the two if you have it done in a hospital.

I was wondering if people experienced with him could offer some pros and cons to dealing with him.
Considering a consult with him after the summer is over.

Firstly, I will second everything that GoodWood said in his reply. Everything he said checks with my experience. I had my surgery four months ago with Dr. Eid. I did have an earlier in-person consultation because I wanted to meet him face-to-face before I made any decisions on the surgery. I flew to NYC for surgery on a Wednesday, had pre-surgery consultation with Eid on Thursday, and surgery on Friday. Went back on Monday to have the catheter out and to have the first inflation/deflation, then flew home on Wednesday (I waited a day after the final visit just to make sure there were no complications).

Dr. Eid listened to everything I had to say during the pre-surgery consult. I mentioned my concern with scarring from injections, and he said he could deal with that. When he came into the pre-op room to talk with me just before surgery, he asked if I had any questions before he started. I mentioned the scarring again and asked him not to leave me "short changed" becuase of it.

Here is where he went well beyond what I was expecting: Dr. Eid later told me that I was right about the scarring, and he always needs to listen to his patients because they are usually right. He had to throw away two implants he put in and then removed when dealing with the scarring, finally finding the largest that would fit. I'm not sure that any other doctor would do that. He was very concerned with getting a good and CORRECT final result.

In the weeks after the surgery, his office has been terriffic. All my questions have been answered promptly. His PA, Tim, calls me right back if I have a question, and he will go to Dr. Eid for an answer if necessary and then get right back to me. Overall, it has been a great experience.

I’m happy with how everything worked out with Eid.

I’m 400 miles away, drove to consultation, and implanted 4 weeks later.

I stayed across the street from hospital the four days I was there. I had to be there a couple days early as I’ve had bladder tumors and had to have another cystoscopy two days prior to implant to be sure they did not grow back.

Catheters suck especially the first time. I had to have one for four days when I had back surgery. It was Erie taking this out myself but oh well.

If you go by yourself you will need a medical escort to get you out of hospital which is about $100.

And getting stitches out, I had a lot being I had Scrotoplasty, so try to line that up as well.

Another thing to keep in mind. He is getting old, so when is he going to retire.

Get it done asap.

I consulted with Eid before my first surgery and regret not going with him. I went with a super reputable reconstructive urologist at a local academic hospital and ended up with an infection. While it's still possible to get infected with the no-touch technique, the risk is lower and I felt burned.

I don't regard any of these guys as gods and suspect there is a bit of a fudge factor in Eid's infection reporting (how are they tracking his many international patients?), but I'd have rather taken my chances with him.

Surgeons no longer use no touch technique because it doesn't allow proper penis grip and manipulation...also its' effectivness at preventing infection has not been conclusive.
