I was 27 when I got my implant. I'm 41 now. I had to get one due to having frequent Priapisms and waiting in the ER room caused me to have corpora scarring which left me with penile necrosis. So I had no choice. If you have other options, I would seek those first. If you have insurance, then it isn't a big deal I guess. I had to pay out of pocket and travel to the US from Canada.

If you do get one, I would suggest Dr. Karpman in California. Really good doctor. His surgery approach you feel no pain and he gives you meds and you should be back to work right away. My work is more physical and I was back to work in a week.

Hey I haven’t scheduled my surgery yet I just signed up for insurance and they said I need to wait 12 months before I’m eligible for it . When I called in the office for dr Christopher love in Melbourne one of the lady told me the doctor charges 9000$ for he’s fees plus more for anesthesia.

I just signed up for hospital cover too haha, I still have another 11 months to wait.

I also have a consult booked with Dr Love early July, I thought that gives me plenty of time anyway to think about things and get tests done etc. I've heard from other guys it will be about 7-8k out of pocket after insurance and Medicare etc. I thought if I can get out of it under 10k, I'd be fairly happy I guess. I also have to factor in travelling and staying in Vic for a week, I'm from Adelaide

When you say everything... did you go to the Dr and have them inject your unit with something that is supposed to make it hard then use those ultrasound scanners to see if you have any leaks in your veins ect? They did that with me and I had Necrosis on my corpora.

As for the Implant, got it at 27, been with A LOT of women since LOL and none of them knew I was implanted. I did tell 2 women that I was implanted. They didn't care in the way you would think. They became addicts lol as they could inflate me to whatever hardness they felt like that day. They thought it was the coolest thing ever. Women have a WAAY bigger sex drive than I would have ever imagined once they found that out.

But yeah, I would try absolutely EVERYTHING before getting implanted. Dr. Karpman said he had to actually "Chisel" my corpora out to get the tubes in. He said it was like picking at a rock lol.
