I have the AMS CX model, some guys swear by one or the other. Both have there pluses and minuses.

My surgeon preferred AMS, but does both.

Personally I think my CX is the best out there.

It's great to hear that you've had a positive experience with your AMS CX model for the past 4 years without any issues. A surgeon who's experienced with both options is definitely an advantage. Thanks for sharing your viewpoint!

Get a notepad & look through past posts & count which brand was replaced by a revision. Be sure to make a note of the members name so that frequent posters don't get counted more than once.
If possible see if the internet will reveal the number of each brand that are installed each year. Use that percentage to put your revision numbers into perspective. I'm sure that you'll get your reliability question answered.
Now on to which is best? Despite all the wild claims about hardness. Both brands are entirely capable of producing an erection that is better than your youthfull erections & will last way longer than any natural erection.
Now to my opinion. Even if you get the absolute maximum hardness implant. Most men inflate to less than max because the woman in their life doesn't like it that hard. At least not consistently that hard.
Out of the three popular models, LGX,
CX & Titan. The Titan while claimed to be the hardest is also the worst for dog ears. Even the CX is not immune to this but at a lower level. Trust me, dog ears can be painfull & there is a chance that the implant will never soften up enough to eliminate the dog ear problem.
Do your own research, consult with your surgeon. I would advise you to do your own research & find an implant that suits your vision of what you want. Be realistic. There is a chance that you might visit a dr that only implants one brand. That isn't a problem if that is what you want. If he doesn't use the brand that you want. Don't be afraid to pick a different dr as long as he is very well trained & experienced.

Thank you for sharing your insights and practical advice regarding implant reliability and brand comparison.
Your suggestion to look through past posts to count replacements and consider the frequency of each brand is a great idea to gauge reliability.
Your comprehensive perspective is much appreciated!

Dr. Clavell has a good video on youtube that discusses this. I had Titan but ultimately revised to AMS CX and happy with the end result. Appreciate surgeons that offer and feel comfortable with both implants, rather than lining their pockets with $$$ from one brand vs another.

Dr. Clavell's YouTube videos on this subject provides useful insights. I watched few.
Based on your personal experience, which implant do you believe is better: the AMS or Coloplast? What specific factors or features influenced your preference?
Thank you for sharing your journey and perspective.

Hey bro, I'm getting my implant in less than a month! I'm 30 years old. Glad to see some younger members on here too.
My urologist only does AMS devices and it was between CX and LGX.
My urologist said he implants all his younger guys with LGX because LGX increases in width AND length after inflation. CX only increases in width. Bigger dick? Sign me up!
Edit: I'm going with the LGX!
Implanted Nov 1 2023. Penoscrotal. Ams 700 LGX. 100 CC reservoir.
Left side: 21 cm + 1 cm RTE = 22cm
Right side: 21 cm + 2cm RTE = 23cm

I went into this with zero knowledge and did no research but my doctor chose the AMS 700 LGX and I'm glad he did. First if you're concerned about size I think there's more than enough clinical as well as anecdotical evidence from dudes like me that it is a realistic expectation to gain about 1 cm, 2cm, or 3cm in length. Girth increases are also possible, but I don't know much about those and this implant does seem to have a maximum girth of about 5.5", so if you're over that going with the Titan might be better. From what I read and see photos of here about dog ears with the Titan would concern me a lot, and my new urologist who is not an expert on implants that I have now (the one who did the implant retired) told me they don't use Titans because of higher failure rates. That might be true, but I'm not positive it's accurate, though that new student YC1990 links above seems to suggest it is.
39. AMS 700 LGX, 21+3. Nov. 2, 2021. Idiot who abused alcohol for brain injury, abused viagra for implant.

Goal to prove implants increase dick size

Pre-op dick size: 8.75" x 5.7"

Current: 9-9.5" x 5.5"

Goal: 10+" x 6+"

That's great to hear! Wishing you a successful and satisfying experience with your chosen implant. LGX sounds like a solid choice based on the considerations your urologist provided. Good luck with your procedure!

It's great to hear that you're satisfied with the AMS 700 LGX implant. It's important to have a positive experience with such a significant decision. I have the same concerns about "dog ears" with the Titan implant.

Additionally, I'm curious if anyone using the AMS LGX has experienced an increase in penis size over time after the implant. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I'm very happy with my LGX.
After discussing it with my doctor I chose the LGX over the Titan or CX as much for it's flaccid performance as it's growth potential. After all, most of the time I'm not going around with a raging boner. LOL

As far as size, I have regained all my lost length since surgery, and have gone slightly over my original length, as well as a small increase in girth.
Age 59. AMS 700 LGX 21cm + 2cm RTE.
Peniscrotal, 2/23.
6.25" OEM with Cialis, about 5" post-op. (11/01: Length 6.75" and girth is up to 4.75" mid shaft.) Still growing, albeit slowly. :D
Cycling daily. Hoping to get to 7". ;)
