I want to expand on my last post ...Why it's " surreal " . New Years Eve night ( 2022/ 2023 ) I had an incredible night planned with the wife . I got a room at the Sheraton Suites. The hotel was situated in an entertainment area . We could walk everywhere cuz we were planning on drinking . We walked to the restaurant to have dinner ( great ) , then walked to a bar and had some more drinks ( and watch my Buckeyes lose to Georgia in National Championship game - not so good but wasn't gonna derail the night ) . Then after midnight we went back to the hotel for the fun part . She made some drinks as I admistered my tri-mix shot . Once the injection erection arrived we started. Things were going great until they weren't. My erection would come and go and we'd lose all momentum. She knew how important this was to me and demonstrated great patience. I finally gave up frustrated. It wasn't happening and I could tell she was tired . That's when the spiral started . ED had been such a shadow over my life for like 25 years ! Sex had to be scheduled, spontaneity was gone . Confidence that the pills, shots were gonna work was lost . That was January now its mid May and I'm 3 weeks post - op . The weight of ED has been lifted ! It had weighed me down too long . Controlled my happiness too long ! And now that's all GONE ! That's why it's " surreal "

We all have similar stories with a few variables.. at 45 I started Blood pressure meds and it was a fairly high dose… soon after I found out all about ED. Started pills they worked great for almost 10 years. At first I could take 5mg of cialis and be rock hard as long as I needed it. By the 7-8 year mark I was using 30-40mg of cialis with a viagra 100mg chaser to get hard and then that started failing. Enter tri mix. Again I felt like a teenager at first with a medium strength script and about 10 units. Within 3 months I was at 20-25units by 6 months I was at 35-40units. Didn’t like where this was going so visited with my urologists and he agreed to test me and found a terrible venous leakage. He told me sooner than later I would have to get an implant so I started researching and had my first talk with a surgeon. 8 weeks later I was implanted. I just celebrated my one year bionic birthday and I’ll never regret it at all!! Loving it more and more every day. Just hope it will give me a hood 8-10 years then I’ll be on social security and it won’t cost so much for a revision.

Congrats . It's funny that you said your one year bionic birthday. I told the wife that my new birthday is my implant date . It's the day I was reborn

I got my implant because I've read fantastic things on this forum, I'm not happy with my implant, maybe because I still had a reptilian functionality even if at high doses of pde5, I was able to have sex for 20 minutes easily 70/80% of the times, the implant as well as some pros has many cons, certainly many pros for those who had no or little erectile function, both with pills and with injections, I don't know if the reason could be that my implant was not successful or if my expectations were too high, many say that they can go on as long as they want with the implant, I have to finish the session after 30 minutes otherwise it starts to hurt, I took the implant to stop taking pde5 instead almost everyone here they take 5 mg of cialis because the engorgement after the implant is almost gone, let alone after reaching orgasm, some say they can continue to have sex until they decide to deflate, absolutely not true for 95% of the implanted , just see that during cycling after 1 hour you have to deflate because the pain or discomfort begins, let alone when you have sex that the cock rubs during coitus

Why did you get your implant? I’d like to get a sense of the conditions, etc. that led you to implantation.

Also, when you got implanted, did you have ANY natural ability to get an erection still, or were you 100% impotent?

Thanks helping me and I’m sure lots of others gain more understanding of the reasons why guys get the implants.

I got the implant because I had started having issues with getting soft midway during intercourse, pills still worked but were working intermittently, and I wouldn’t stay hard long enough.
But I got the implant sooner than later because I had a benign enlarged prostrate and I had the Rezume procedure done where they inject small amounts of water vapor steam into the prostrate to kill some of the enlarged tissue. I found that after healing from the procedure, I had total ED, probably due to damaged nerves from the steam injections, so I moved forward with the implant 5 months after I had total ED.
Best decision, I don’t have to worry about taking pills at a certain time before eating any meal.

I got my implant because I wanted to keep my wife happy and sexually interested in me. I was living in a sexless marriage. I was neither happy or unhappy. But there was this hole in our relationship. No intimacy.

We tried to rekindle our intamcy again last year, but because of ED that went nowhere, every attempt failed. Then at the end of the year gave up and resorted to schedule an implant.

I have an implant now but waiting for the OK from the doctor to have sex with it on June 2. I have no idea what that day will be like I am hopeful all will be OK

My first back surgery L5-S1 fusion got a bit close to the nerves and I was told I might have issues and needed to watch for symptoms ( my surgeon told me I had bone spurs every which way that went into the spinal cord.) Started having symptoms right after, tried vacuum pump and sleeve - no good, didn't work. Tried the pills - Viagra didn't work, Stendra I think didn't work, Cialis worked well so Dr put my on Cialis for daily use - then insurance said we're going to bump it to a tier 3 drug meaning you gotta pay for it now so had to look elsewhere. Heard about bimix and Trimix so asked my urologist about it. Got on Trimix worked well then I guess body got acclimated to it and started to have to increase the dosage then had to increase the strength and dosage till finally it got where it was a 50/50 chance it would work and then it'd work for only 15 minutes to maybe 45 minutes on a good day ( this after about 10 years on Trimix - a good long ride ) so it was past time to get a implant. And now just over 4 weeks from having it, mine is defective and I'll have to get a new one put in ( Dr confirmed it's defective at 2.5 weeks after surgery so now I gotta wait even longer before I can enjoy having a bionic dick )

I am having to choose between prostatectomy and radiation for prostate cancer. Since I have evidence of perineural invasion (in the biopsy) I expect I will have nerves removed. How has that affected your sex life?

I am sending you a private message (PM) with more detailed questions.

It is OK if you re-post my questions and your answers here if you like, or reply by PM, as you prefer.

Thanks for sharing.
