Would you rather have an implant than be natural?

I’m not whining. You play the hand you’re dealt. Nobody EVER said life was fair.

Since I never had an erection like other guys describe, I have no desire to be natural. My implant is the closest I’ve ever been to “normal.” As a horny, constantly hormonally challenged teen/early 20s I’d get erection with little or no provocation. But it was like a sine wave. They’d pop up/go down/pop up/go down. If you have no experience with anybody else’s erections, you don’t know that’s not normal.

When I first became sexually active I was so thrilled to be getting laid that it never took very long. So the extremely short lived nature of my boner never really became an issue. That was late 1970s/early 80s….no internet, no googling “how long should an erection last?”

The short answer was more than a minute or two. And it shouldn’t require heroic levels of stimulation to keep it that long.

Anyhow, you can’t miss what you never had. I’ve got an LGX. It gave me a big flaccid and a bigger erection. Lost a little girth, but damn. It looks good and works better. If they had had them back then, I would have let them install me at age 16.

I assume you’re new to this blog, as this question comes up regularly. Nobody ever should get an IPP if you have a functioning dick. At least til it’s so unreliable that you have no other options. Pills then shots are the normal order of treatment. There are risks involved in an IPP! Although few and not very likely, there’s still a risk factor. If my penis didn’t quit functioning to a point it left me hanging time and time again I would not have gotten an IPP .

Hey Rider I remember when you first got implanted. How is it working out for you now? Are you happy with it?

Just past 7 months and it’s amazing!!! First few months I was depressingly short but a lot of pumping and perito exercises and I’m bigger in girth than ever in my memory and maybe a 1/4” short if that now so absolutely zero complaints. It’s taken a long time for me and my wife to readjust to being able to just have sex anytime and anywhere but it’s beginning to get fun!!!

Not really new to the blog. I've had peyroines for like 13 years and it doesn't really bother me much BUT i frequently (1x or 2x a year) reinjure the plaque and it really screws up my EQ. Like I reinjured myself 6 weeks ago and since then my EQ has been all over the place. Sometimes I can get a complete erection, sometimes I get a weird erection where the top is kind of soft and still others I can get no erection at all (never been that bad before).

I had a doppler yesterday and The uro told me besides the "minor" scarring everything looks good and he would recommend no treatment or Topical verapmil for the pain. I got a few good erections after the the doppler around 3pm then later I got home at 8pm popped my daily 20mg cialis and tried to masterbate and couldn't even get hard to do so. Today I could get hard but I felt the lump around my penis like an HG and it felt weird and not fully firm while masterbating.

I guess It could get better with time like the last time i injured it but it is really distressing because at this point in time the only way I know for sure I could get a reliable erection for sex is with Trimix which I understand can cause further scarring.

I guess my point is would it be stupid to get an IPP if I can get wood with Trimix and may heal naturally? Or, would it be good to get an IPP to prevent atrophy and further fibrosis from injury or injections?

I feel your pain. I was completely fed up with inconsistencies and finally did the implant. You’re the only person that can truly determine when you’re at that point. It was an easy procedure for me but the first few months were very disappointing to say the least. I was over an inch short and much smaller in girth…. But… after several months of pumping and perito exercises I’m slightly bigger in diameter than ever in my memory and maybe a 1/4” short but man does the hardness ever make up for it! By 6 months I couldn’t have been happier and as others have said just wish I would have done it a year sooner!! Do your research and you’ll know when it’s time.

Thanks Rider. It's been a a couple months since the injury and I seem to be recovering. Erections are good but orgasm contractions distal to the injury are still not as strong which is somewhat frustrating. I know that masterbating for long periods of time (4-24 hours) is not good for my dick but certain life stressors seem to trigger me towards that compulsion. I am going to try my best to abstain from that behavior but I think I will probably need an IPP in the future.
