I’m scheduled for consultation

persistence paid off My original appointment was in March. I've called daily to see if they had any cancellations. This morning when I called they actually had a cancelled appointment for tomorrow at noon I will let you all know how it goes.

That is good news. My wait for an appointment as a new patient was 15 weeks. That was a long wait. His office looked at the appointments once a week. I had the option of calling on that day to see if there was a cancellation. I never called, didn't want to get my hopes dashed every week. Seems that good urologists are busy. At least the better ones that do implants are. I hope all goes well for you.

So my consultation went well. We sat and I told him about the last 8 or so years trying different meds and such. He went over the pros/cons of having the surgery. After went got all of that out of the way I asked if he had a preferred device. He stated that it really depended on me and asked me to drop drawer’s lol. A pinch of the head and a good stretch later he said this one’s a no brainer and he recommended the Titan. He said I would be very disappointed with the AMS. I now have to research the Titan because I figured that I would get the AMS. He made it seem like the Ams wouldn’t fill the area and would result in a less rigid/firm.

I’m scheduled for an outpatient surgery on Jan. 30th. He said that they will pull the catheter while I’m under and wait for me to pee. If all is going well be discharged with a drain bag connected. In a couple days I will be able to pull the drainage bag. They’ll then have me back for a 2 week and 6 week appointment. Dr. Lentz answered every question I can throw at him.

To everyone that has these far out dates for consultations and surgeries, I urge you to call and see if they had cancellations. My original consultation date was 3/29/23 now my 6 week post op is 3/23/23. This is a big deal because I had to stop all meds (cialis, viagra, trimix and Caverject) now it’s a roll of the dice if I can even function.

Sh!t just got real!! Nurse called me today and said they have a cancelation in the morning and I can have the time slot. I took it on and I'm now scheduled for 0910 operating time. I got so nervous so fast I lost my speech for 30 seconds Wish me luck and great stretchablity in the morning
