I have done a lot of research both before and after my surgery. And I have seen videos of a lot of different methods of both infrapubic and penoscrotal as well as different ways to deglove for this surgery. Some doctors just do one incision but I have seen some who will do as many as 3 smaller ones. As instead of the long incision OP is talking about using 2 smaller ones. One for the cylinders and pump and one for the reservoir and in some cases a third for a drain. Penoscrotal is a bit the same with some doing horizontal and other vertical. And some advertising the smallest incision. Some with a drain and some without. I was of the opinion that a doctor who used a drain did so because there was so much damage in the surgery that the risk of infection with another incision was needed. And doctors who did not did not cause the damage a bleeding and did not need the drain and additional infection risk. Of course backing this us with a conversation with a man who had IPP surgery from the doctor to be sure.

This is where surgeon choice is involved. But some men do not have the option to shop around for a doctor. Sad that there are doctors around that are the only choice for some men that do such a poor job.

I've had one penoscrotal (by a lying asshole) and three infrapubics (by Perito). My scars are not "that bad". I also have scars all over my face, arms and chest from a lifetime in the sun. Scars would not be my worry!

I stayed overnight in the (excellent) Coral Gables hospital so the drain was removed the next morning before I was released.

The first was an "installation failure" by a urologist who lied to me about his experience. Second was installed by Dr Perito. When it failed after 3 years, he teasingly said 'too much cowgirl, Lar' (I had told him about the "never ending cowgirl orgasms). What actually happened was a tube coiled and pulled loose (not 'too much cowgirl'). Third failure was about 3 years in and was a pump failure. Dr Perito said he'd seen several pump failures and installed a different pump. Fourth implant is about 17 months old and going strong.

Bragging or not, I use it a lot! I never dreamed old age would be this much fun!

if it had happened in Italy apart from the damage, even the insult, it would have taken another 50 thousand euros, it is not that everyone has so much money, in Italy there is no insurance that pays you a plant, if one needs a plant you have to jump through hoops to pay for it, if an unforeseen event happens you must at least pay back everything, this is one of the great reasons that plants are not made in Italy
