My condition is permanent. I had a cath back in 81 for anther injury and hospital stay and had a bit of trouble before surgery. I had a cath for the surgery and afterwards it was worse. I even used a pad for a while but that is something you have to keep extras on you all the time. The TP worked for a while and the pads gave me a rash so my local uro has me on Myrbetriq. This gives me much better control. I even could forego the TP for a while. But I am back again with the TP. Regardless if this is temporary or permanent with light leakage it is a good way I have found to control the problem. Most times I can reuse the TP before I shower again but other times I will change it out if needed. Just step into stall and toss the old damp tissue and make up a pad of new dry. Only other way for me is to dehydrate myself. Did this for dating in the past. As a 24-7 decaf coffee drinker I have a TP pad most all the time.
