Re: Considering Implants, Need Advice
A good uro will do a doppler where they inject you to produce an erection. However, sizing for an implant is done while you're out on the table and surgeon has you open. If you do this talk to the surgeon about your size and concerns about the ability to have sex. If you're going to end up with a 3" dick it might not be worth going through with it.

I said SPL, stretched penis length. Sorry for not clarifying.
I'm sorry, I didn't recognize the acronym and being blind, you are really disadvantaged.

Hi Old Guy,
I had the Doppler done, and guess what? It did not produce an erection.
Those are my sentiments exactly. If you have this operation and your penis is too short for sex, kind of defeats the purpose of surgery.
I did read you are sized during surgery and cylinders expand in length and girth to accommodate a natural erection. So how would I still be my flaccid length, 3.5 inches, when erect?
Tomas, I would say ED and societies ignorance towards the disabled are disadvantages more blindness itself.

I would say use the VED Device and have someone else there to measure your penis while in the tube. That will be near your erect length. Pre implant I was 2 inch flaccid. now 5.5 inch flaccid and 6 erect. Your flaccid will be about 1/2 less than your erect size no matter which device you use.

There is ONLY ONE length measurement that matters. All the others (stretched penis, inside the vacuum chamber, influenced by pills or injections) these are only estimates (though the one by injection is pretty good and the vaccum erection device will be about a half-inch longer than you will get with the implant, by me experience).
The measurement that counts is when the surgeon cuts into your penis and inserts a tool to measure the length of your tunica albuginea on its insides. The tool is inserted in the incision and pushed rather forcefully up into the tip of your penis inside your tunica This stretches the tough, fibrous tunica and your penis to as long as it can get without damage. That measurment is noted. Then the tool is unserted into your pelvic crus to its deepest depth and that measurment noted. The two measurements are added together and the device to be implanted is chosen based on that sum.
If your penis (and tunica) cannot stretch more than that which will give you a 4 inch penis, that is what you will wind up with. Note that the 4 inch number is referring to the external length of your penis. The length you can feel or your partner see sticking out in front of you. Usually about one-third of the implant is buried in your pelvic crus, though that ration varies quite a bit from one man to another.
Please note that even a little nub of a penis can still get a woman off and get her pregnant. Your choice of positions may be limited, but you don't have to a foot long to be effective. Just have to have the will.

Re: Considering Implants, Need Advice
I was a grower before my implant.
When I met with my doctor for my pre-surgery appointment, he did a stretch test to get an idea of what size implant I would need.
That may have been for show because he told me on the day of surgery that he would measure my dick during the operation as a couple of other guys described.
Now, again as has been written, my flaccid dick is only a bit shorter than my erect dick.
I want to say that I think having the ability to have a functioning hard on, no matter what length, is better than no hard on at all.
