Health Grades is just one place to look to research a doctor. Click in that box and look for Penile Implant or Complex Penile Surgery. Your doctor does not have either of those listed. If you are looking for another doctor I would recommend checking him or her through Health Grades or another like site.
As far as the LGX goes it is softer than the CX or the Titan. And it is not made longer than 21cm where the others are. Some doctors do feel that even the 21cm LGX is too long and has problems. Many men have them though with little problems. The LGX is more comfortable than the CX or Titan. And it expands more in length than either of those to help regain size.

I too had a bad placement on the reservoir, I stuck out !! -it was not ok, My first opt was 4 weeks out after the first surgery. My penis was great but when I lifted my shirt to show the reservoir I said this is untenable -He agreed with out hesitation and apologies flowed. I too have a Lgx 18 plus 3cm rte. I am at 6 mo cycling and Im larger then I was pre operation. Will post data at one year-my) observations then.
My Dick gets plenty hard, as hard or harder then my "young man" dick was. I am slow to point at a Dr's skill, but you need to find a new one, He F-ed up. Probably did not correctly fill your res. My revision surgery went well (infections aside for now) and Dr was able to tuck the reservoir well in, I'm guessing your body type is thin also? My Dr told me because of my first outcome he changed how he does the procedure.

Sorry to hear your problem. Would Dr Boyd at USC/Keck be in your system? He is the master in the LA area. I have a 15 cm LGX with 5.5 cm of RTE. Gets hard as a railroad spike. What size did you get installed?

I agree with Oldbeek , try for dr Doyle and Dr Boyd from USC. They work together and are great.
39 01/24/19 USC Dr Doumanian LGX 15cm 3, lGX 18 +2, revision 6-20 18+3 pump failure, revision 8-20 left cylinder in scrotum, 1-21 removed infection switched to dr Doyle, Boyd 10.05.21 a 15+3 cx,revision 01,23,24 with switch to LGX 15+6 fat pad removal.
