REMEMBER that the implant may be an option for 5 years or 20 years with several revisions during this period. Even if we assume that you will undergo several revisions and this will extend your sex life by 20 years. At 50, you will no longer have an implant in your penis and you will not be able to have sex. Therefore, check all possible options before taking this step. I AM NOT A DOCTOR AND THIS IS JUST MY PERSONAL OPINION.
I challenge you to link to a member that has been unable to get an implant due to too many revisions. You've made a claim, you need to provide sources that we can verify. Absolutely no urban legends or friend of a friend stories are allowed.
I don't want to give wrong information, but a lot of forum members are worried about having an implant because of this possibility. I can't find the specific posts, but I've read the sentence many times - I'm worried that I will need a lot of revisions until the end and I don't know when I will be left with an unusable penis without an implant in it. Is there a member of the forum who was implanted more than 15-20 years ago?
I don't know on what basis you are stating that in 20 years implanted men need 3-5 revision, and that infection will happen.
If you look at the numbers, both Boston Scientific and Coloplast are selling hundreds of thousands of implants every year worldwide. Go to any website showing reviews about satisfaction with implants. Everywhere it is showing 90%+ satisfaction rate. Higher than any ED treatment.
It is also repeatedly mention by members on FT that most of people posting here are the ones who have issues and seek help or suggestions. Happy members are around for a while, but only a few keep posting for many years. If you look at posts that are dated 2012 for example, you will see names that that aren't active anymore on FT, which is very normal. But make sure that these members are enjoying their implant, and you can imagine how many years their implants are up and running!
These implants are designed to work between 10-15 years, and could last longer. But like any mechanical component, if it is not installed properly, problems will happen.
About implant at 30 or younger, everyone opting for an implant has already tried everything else without success. When ED hits it continues to persist, no kidding. At 30, I was enjoying sex almost everyday, but now, after 50, even with the implant, I enjoy sex, but there are other things like family, kids, that concern me more. what I mean is having ED at 30s should be addressed with more priority than at 50 or 60.
