Oldbeek is right. The RTEs are the non-inflatable portion of the implant. The tubes are connected with the cylinders at a certain point inside the shaft base. If the crus is deep, the surgeon cannot do the connection deep inside the body. Instead, the the RTE is used. However, its use should be justifiable as all studies or (most of them) focus on reducing the RTE to the minimum or avoided as Luis mentioned.

yeah when you have such a deep crus then having more RTEs makes sense.

i would say that's an extreme case and not the normal. in most cases RTEs are not desirable and anything more than 1cm RTEs should be avoided.

L.S. AMS has both preconnected and non-preconnected tubes. Not sure about Titan's.

Right. My AMS 700 CX kit was assembled/installed piece-meal. I've got separate stickers on my card for the MS pump, 15cm CX cylinders and 65ml reservoir. If I palpate my scrotum, I can feel the quick-connect couplers for the cylinders very near the pump, and the quick-connect coupler for the reservoir runs down the left side of my penis (and has repeatedly attached itself to the tissues of side of my penis and detached again over the past two years).

Mine was penoscrotally installed. The fact that the reservoir tube comes into the pump from the left side of my penis explains why my pump's release button is pointing to roughly 40-45 degrees front left.
