Does anyone else feel like they feel squishing or sensations of reservoir when tensing abdomen?
Short answer, Yes. At least in my experience personally, I get periodical discomfort around my reservoir which I never had prior to implantation. I think a certain degree of occasional discomfort or soreness around the reservoir is normal but I wouldn't expect outright continuous pain though. I don't get the squishing you mention but it may be the depth at which my reservoir was inserted though.

Re: Hernia surgery after implant
Lived that nightmare. Titan implant. Then a hernia. Had a couple visits with hernia surgeon. Showed him where reservoir was. Where tubes are. How the connect to pump.
Always got. No problem. It will not be affected. Hernia was as far as I could tell right over the reservoir. Pumped up night before hernia surgery with pictures.
Hernia surgery. Week later. Tried to pump. Yep not working. At my follow up I asked if he wanted to write me a check to get this fixed as i explained where it was and he said not to worry. He knew what he was doing.
I had some complications as in a lot of pain after the hernia surgery. So ended up having a removal and replacement. This time urologist surgeon as well as hernia surgeon was in or. But my surgery was over 4 hours to get the titan removed and make sure hernia was still fixed. Then get an ams 700 put in.
That was march 2020. All is still good now. And I went from 19 cm cylinders to 20 cm total.
Make damn sure your hernia surgeon knows where all the parts are to your implant and how tubing and reservoir is routed and placed. Especially if it is on the same side.

18 cm plus 1 rte titan installed March 2019. Revision March 2020 by Dr. Andrew Todd, Richmond KY. He replaced the titan with an AMS 700 LGX 18 cm cylinder plus 2 rte for 20 cm total length.
