The odd part, is that I felt much progress leading up to this point, but just about 2 days ago it turned into extreme discomfort, a feeling of constant burning, and almost as if my body isn’t accommodating the new equipment very well.

If anyone has any tips or tricks to relieve this painful feeling, I am all ears!

If the area of the operation smells putrid or has a pus discharge, get to an emergency room.
If the area of the operation is hot, red, swollen (more than it was 24 hours ago), call your surgeon. You may want to prepare to get to an emergency room or the surgical venue of your operation.

Did you do anything to irritate the area? Like getting up and walking around? I know one guy who, a few days after the operation, went out an mowed his lawn. He regretted that for several days after.

It’s not an infection or anything identifiable with a doctors appointment.

UPDATE: turns out I’m allergic to the antibacterial lining used. After 24 hours on prednisone, the pain/burning is almost completely gone.
