The drainage slowed significantly overnight and the doctor wants the drain out--so it is coming out. One more step on the path. And frozen peas are a fantastic replacement for ice! 20 on and 20 off.

Awesome, welcome to the club! You'll go through lots of emotions, from what have I done? Is this infected? all common. After a few weeks you'll be happy with the outcome. Many resources here to get advice from.

Looking back, I wish the the surgeon had put a drainage tube in. Bad bruising might have been less.

And yes, frozen peas are your bestfriend.

It is now six days after my surgery. I remain encouraged and excited. The colorful bruising is beginning to subside and the pain is nearly gone. I have a concern about the cylinder on the right--it seems to be kinking and sticking out a bit--I wrote the doctor, but no response yet. I push it back into place. It may just be that being partially inflated it is not staying in the right position. At least the pain, or general ache associated with having the cylinders inflated is abating. I have tried to feel for the pump, but other than a general outline, I am still too swollen--which is expected as a result of the left orchiectomy and right cyst removal in addition to the implant.

Today, fully one week and one day after surgery is my first day without using even Tylenol for pain. Yay. There is only a residual ache around the base of my penis. The discoloration is fading and I feel really good. I am still trying to figure out the pump, but the residual swelling is thwarting my efforts to identify all of the parts. I have to admit it is heavier in my scrotum than I expected. But, what did I expect? It is filled with saline and needs to be fairly rugged. I actually put on a pair of jeans and am preparing for an outing. I am anxious to start using the new equipment--but will be patient until cleared by the doc.
