I also talked with a well know Atlanta doctor. I had thought he was a Coloplast only doctor like the well known one in Florida. But he did say after recomending a Titan that he would do another LGX if I wanted. So if it is the same doctor you might revisit this with him. Men are different. There is a general rule of 1/3 being inside the body but that varies a lot. Average size depends on race and country. Asian men tend to be the smallest but there are some asian countries with larger average size. In the US your size is at average for all men. You can do a web search and find this information. Your cylinder length will be determined during surgery. No way to tell exactly until that measurement is made. A shorter cylinder and Rear Tip Extender(s) (RTE) may be used by some doctors. A well known NY doctor has been posted as using a longer cylinder and shortening the solid portion of the rear end of the cylinder. So as posted above there is no way to tell until surgery what cylinder lenght will be used. It depends on your anatomy and the surgeon.
I think we may be talking about the same Doctor in Atlanta, I've PMed you, please check.
