I must note that coitus is not the only sexual activity that can be satisfying for both partners. Not my choice to go without coitus, but some find it OK and my partner and I enjoy both coital and non-coital sex all the time. If I had to go without erections (I can still orgasm, even when flaccid), I would lose only a portion of sexual satisfaction. A satisfied life would still continue.

Bill Clinton said "I did not have sex with that woman". Or something to that effect. Not everyone considers oral sex as sex. To the best of my knowledge. Hillary has not checked in on her definition of sex. But I think she has demonstrated what celibacy is.

Yes, the answer two the question, "When has sex occurred" is a tricky one. It used to be when a man has an orgasm inside a woman't vagina. Gen-Xers subscribing to the "celibacy pledge" sometimes got around that pledge by defining anal sex as not actually sex. Lesbian sex- is that "having sex"?

The best definition I have heard thus far is this one: "When with another person, if either of you have an orgasm, then sex has occurred. (physically engaged - phone sex does not count)"

Manual, oral, with toys, or penis in vagina, and either partner. If she climaxes and he doesn't, it still counts.

At least that is my current working definition. As I said earlier, it is a tricky question.

Yes, life has gotten way too complicated. The list of possibilities is literally endless. Coitis interruptus, tantric, geez the list has to be huge. Worked with a guy that said he married a nun. None in the morning, none at night. Yet he tolerated that, go figure. I didn't like him so I always figured that he deserved exactly what he got.
I think the real trick is to come up with some kind of intimacy that works for both parties. Looking at the implant stats. It looks to me like there is a fairly large group that have voted with their sex organs.
At my house, we're fairly in agreement that good old fashion in/out is the gold standard. We'll likely have a modified opinion in 20 years. Till then.....

Thanks for the response. Getting a legalistic definition pinned down is a fool's errand. That's why we have/need lawyers, I guess.

In point of fact, after about 30 years of slowly progressing E.D. I finally got a clue about oral sex. After I learned how, it can be pretty good. Now that I have an implant, sex is SPECTACULAR and we THOROUGHLY enjoy both (oral and coital) styles and are expanding our repertoire of activities and positions just about every time we see each other.

And, to Bill Clinton, the answer is, "Oh yes, you DID."
