I will add my understanding of this to the mix. This and a dollar like the other information given will get you a large drink at McDonald's.

First of all traction devices and VED can cause damage and end up costing you length if you are not careful. Second ED causes size loss when nocturnal erections diminish enough or stop. Third this size loss is different from the size loss pre vs, post op due to long waiting periods post op to start cycling. Lastly one well know FL doctor has said that the only thing that stops size loss from ED is the IPP.

Now my understanding of some publications on this. When men have prostate cancer and treatments cause erections to stop there was a publication on VED therapy. https://augustams.com/how-to-use-a-peni ... -exercise/ As with all VED use note that slow application of vacuum is advised. Pump slowly and wait to let the blood get through the tiny blood vessels or pressure can build and damage those vessels and the tissue they supply. I think this should be recommended to all men who have diminished erections no matter what the reason. You can use the method in that publication with the cylinder marking in this publication. https://file.scirp.org/pdf/ASM_2013012514045982.pdf The FL doctor has also said not to use a VED one week before surgery. And of course not to postpone surgery to use the VED for a specific amount of time. I did not use a traction device. I did use manual starching when time did not permit VED prep, use, and cleaning. At 11:45 in this video it best describes what I did as time permitted. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwp0YfSLxIU Just use nice easy pressure for 5 or 10 minutes. Just keep repeating. These are the safest methods with the benefits of keeping your tissue healthy. But others have had success with traction devices. Just be careful as some men have also caused damage.

As far as size loss pre vs post op. This is the paper that shows the relationship of long activation wait times to size loss. https://www.researchgate.net/publicatio ... prosthesis So if you have a choice try to choose a doctor with the shortest wait time for activation. This paper has the FL doctor listed on it and is ment to show the benefits of VED use post surgery. https://irp-cdn.multiscreensite.com/d88 ... action.pdf But if you notice all men in the study had early activation. So that may have a great deal to do with the outcome. Also early VED use will depend on the surgery. Infrapubic with the incision slightly above the base the shaft would permit this earlier. Penoscrotal incision especially with a scrotoplasty would delay this for healing. I did not use VED therapy post surgery. I did use long pump adding inflations after I was fully healed. I had gains out past one year. I do believe this would have been faster if I would have used VED therapy post op after I was fully healed. As others have posted on this board.

My recommendation would be to start VED therapy now with proper care and stretching when time does not permit this. And to find the best doctors you can and have the surgery as soon as you can. But what ever you do it will be the right choice because only you can decide what is best for you. Good luck going forward with this.
