Questions on one pieces

So I currently have a three piece. Having been in heavy dismay at the tubing protruding out the side of my dick near the base I decided to see if the local doctor here could fix it. The end results are the cords were cut shorter but now instead of having the pump hidden it now sits about a half a inch above my balls wether laying down or standing(and a much bigger pump). I went into this not hoping it was 100% concealable or hidden but at least enough so that it would be an enigma not like something very bad is going on with my junk. So having had now two problems with this is implant I’m wondering

1: what’s wrong with it just always being hard? I mean at least than I would be back to being confident with letting girls put my balls in mouth because now I am not.

2: how are is a one piece in retro spec to a three piece?

3: I’ve only recently considered this but is the installation the same? Or is there a much bigger scar?

If I were you, I would contact Dr. Kramer. He will stand by his work and if there is a problem, he will fix it. I understand if it's less than 90 days it is 100% free.

I honestly don't know mush about them but I'll share what I do know. Btw, this is all almost 30 year old info. So before most ED treatments in use today.
My step father in law, mil's 3rd husband, nice guy. Must of been in his later 70's by this time. He was distressed because apparently ED had just hit him. Based upon his heart health it wasn't a surprise based on today's knowledge. He basically described it as all revved up but the car wouldn't start.
MIL held the purse strings pretty tightly. I was surprised that she let him get it so I'm guessing it must of been free to them. It was described to me as always hard but the rod(s) stopped about at his body. It was lifted up to insert but upon removal it just flopped down.
Urination was ok because it did hang mostly. I never heard any comments about how they were satisfied with it. But I guess the more telling part is I never heard a single complaint about it either.
He died at 84 so there was plenty of time to complain. I'm sure that it was primitive compared to what is in use today. Best of luck but please remember there is a reason that they are not popular today.

Yup, I fully understand that... that's why I have always suggested that patients try to find a doctor they can live with closer to home. Three of the 4 top surgeons I interviewed agreed with me and the 4th is just simply arrogant and thinks his crap doesn't stink. You may be able to find a surgeon who is willing to help you or Dr. Kramer may be able to contact someone on your behalf but, here in Canada, most surgeons don't want to get involved with someone else's work. I hope he is able to help you.
