That is hassle.
With pills is a bit better but to bad, viagra and Cialis don’t work for me.

To answer your question, keep using your ring as long as it works for you. I used one for several years with great satisfaction. With a little lube, it goes on fast - my wife enjoyed putting it on for me (us)! You'll find many comments on these pages saying as much as we love our implants, a natural erection is still the best.

While no one will argue with you that a natural God given erection is the best. There are few of us implanted that don't thank God for a dick that works again! Especially if a natural erection is impossibility. Don't put down an implant. Mine is what makes me feel like a man again. Sorry dude, a natural erection can't come close to doing what I can do. If you can get away with a loser erection ring you can be almost as spontaneous as without, dont you ?

That s an important question I am asking myself right now... If i can have proper sex with an constriction ring which does not need a VED, should I lay off the implant for some more years as I am only 24 years old ?

We are blessed with so many options with pros and cons. We should not be against any solution that works. One is not better than the other.

But I still believe that someone especially a young man should try a vacuum device, pills, injections and implant in that order. From less invasive to invasive.

Pills worked for me for years, now I’m on Trimix with great success. No doubt when this stops working I’ll have the implant.

I’m not an advocate of that treatment path. Imagine being a young dating man and having to go through the hell that that would have on your psyche and wider dating prospects.

An implant should be offered as a second line treatment in my view.

If pills fail for me fully, I am going straight to implant. Why inject knowing it will cause scarring. Why attach a pump to yourself. Just fix it once and for all.

I have had E.D for 20 years. Pills worked with horrible side effects that at first I failed to tell my doctor about as I didn’t know there were other options. When I disclosed the side effects were bothering me and pills were hit or miss I was told to do the VED/Rings at 25 yrs old. I absolutely hated them and the lack of spontaneity was a point of contention that ended multiple relationships. My doctor stopped there with the options and I gave up trying to have intimate relationships. My self worth-esteem was in the basement and I remained single for 15 years. I just heard about implants this year and I’ve already been implanted after the injections failed to produce an erection.

I am not cleared to use it yet but I can tell you I already feel the relief of not wondering if my dick is going to get hard the next time my GF and I feel like it’s go time.

If I could go back in time I would tell myself to get the implant at 20. My life would be very different had ED not stopped me from feeling like I was successful as a man and able to please a woman and maintain a relationship.

I think doctors should test for venous leakage prior to prescribing any treatments. If there is an issue there it should be straight to the implant. If no VL then I would say the tradition progression of treatments should be tried prior to implant.

Unless you can have satisfactory sex in a matter of minutes. That is not spontaneous sex. With an implant you can pump up as quickly as a limp healthy dick can. However unlike a 'natural erection', this pumped up one stays hard as long as you need it too. No 'natural erection' will ever be able to do that. With an implant you can always have sex and you are a fucking Dynamo. Sex is spontaneous again and again and again! This cannot be argued. Nothing, drugs, or alcohol can prevent your erection.
