Does a 3 Piece implant interfere with Imaging

Latest PET scan with chemicals Wednesday was cancelled. Since the second insurance company was not responding and I did not have $10,200 to put down as a deposit nor the $2400 to pay for contrast it was cancelled. Rescheduled for Monday. Will let you know Monday how it goes. Supposed to be 3 1/2 hours. Longest yet. Cheers.

Interesting P.E.T. scan today. Never sat in a lead lined room for an hour with doors 6" thick. Machines are smaller and quieter, scans an hour or 2 faster. No issue for implant and P.E.T. Did ask if there was a pacemaker but penile implant not an issue. If I can get my hands on the CD I will try to post what they look like. The P.E.T. scan is actually an image laid over a CT so they can locate everything. Cheers.

I now have my pet scan on CD but it was not the complete set so still no pictures. The implant is VERY clear in the scans along with the penile cylinders this time. $12,000 gets you a very good picture verses a cheap little $6700 CT with contrast and a poor image! I will go by for another CD with the rest of this to see what I can do with them to show. My laptops are only internet connected machines and VERY slow for something with 2700 images. I mean 3 hours like slow. Plenty of ram and such to handle, just not fast enough processors. Cheers.

Lots of reasons including vintage of machine and the machine being special built by in house engineers to be able to do several types of scans all in the same machine. More of a research machine than anything. Anyway, Larry, I ended up in a new machine instead. Must be 1/5th the size of the other one. Did not hum, shake and vibrate like the other machine does, only took 30 minutes but the radiology report says it did not scan my arms ( just shows glow coming off one) or back so it has to be done again. I swear they keep screwing up these scans over and over to churn dollars. This is the 4th one this month. Cheers.
