The final frontier. Deciding when, if and how.

Boyce,
I am sorry you had to go through all that. When I was contemplating an implant I also thought about going with the simplest device, thinking there would be less to go wrong. My surgeon said he was outdoor not stop me from choosing the malleable, but highly discouraged it, mostly for the reasons you gave. I hope you will love your LGX like I love mine.

This was an interesting thread. Out of curiosity, is the malleable actually rigid enough for satisfactory intercourse?

I wish I would have joined these forums before my surgery. I think a lot of people seek this out after the fact but here’s a perfect example of what this group could offer when deciding on surgery. Hope it all works out for you.

Bullock would only install the rod or the two piece inflatable. I was wondering how a man educated enough to become department head could still be pushing 2 decade old devices. Hope your new Boston model goes well. They are comfortable. Cheers.

I did not have malleable implant but still, I am with bad experience with inflatable one.
I wish I never made this choice.

I have no personal experience with the malleable since I have an LGX, but from what I have read, yes it is hard enough for sex. The main problem is the constant pressure on the inside of the glans can cause problems after a while.
