So there is a fair amount of commentary on flaccid size and some differences between the brands... I have more to research there. (I'm about 6.5" NBPEL, and about 6.5" EG)
When flaccid I'm generally pretty small but don't mind those times when I'm partially erect. With an implant of course I know the flaccid size will be significantly bigger. I'm not so sure I'll love it being THAT large and in the way, but not much I can do about that I guess.
I'm wondering though what the general consensus is long term - does the feeling of "tubes" inside your penis go away? Does your brain eventually tune it out?

47; Considering an implant. ED for over a decade. Tested a decade ago for VL, negative. Not hormonal; may be dopamine reward dysfunction.
Re: Everyday life with an implant...
Yes, eventually you’ll be used to it. I compare it to breaking in a pair of work boots. At first you are very aware of them and how they feel. Later on you don’t notice them at all.
Re: Everyday life with an implant...
Yeah but those work boots really get worn in by a lot of different pressures (forces, torques, etc...) And become very worn.
I don't quite think the cylinders inside you would get worn quite the same. I know they do soften over time, right? But not as much as those boots I imagine?

Re: Everyday life with an implant...
Nestor, that is why you buy good boots (implant) that lasts 10 years, not the cheap box store junk that falls apart in 3 months. Sometimes you just take your chances like the guy that fuk#@ the clappy old whore with cooties, but the sex was good and available at the time. Cheers.

Re: Everyday life with an implant...
Nestor,
After a couple months i generally am I unaware of the implant being inside me. The exceptions are if I am wearing snug clothes and there is pressure pushing my glans into the cylinder tips or I have to pull my penis out of tight clothes to piss. It is well worth those occasions to have a functioning dick that both my wife and I love.

I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.
Re: Everyday life with an implant...
I don't feel my implant at all. (The only time I feel it really is when I'm holding my penis to pee. Otherwise, nothing felt.)

I'm sitting here all by myself with a coffee and my laptop reading all the posts since I was forcefully escorted home for some sleep. I read this post and started to chuckle uncontrollably.. If anyone had seen me they would have had me transferred, in a straight jacket, to the looney bin.
Thanks for the giggle.

Nestor,
For some, beauty (enjoyment); for others less fortunate, beast (disappointment and suffering)

Re: Everyday life with an implant...
Nestor,
At about 77 days out (A newbie) I am very aware of the cylinders in my penis but not nearly as much as last month. Right now my flaccid is 6" and sticks straight up (on my back laying down) My pumped is just a little longer. I'm told that within a year the cylinders soften and act more naturally. Looking forward to that. Actually feeling myself just now I think my AMS pump has self inflated some. No wonder I got all of those stares today at work. Oh my. But seriously this is a prostheses like an artificial leg only better. Third leg.
I had hoped that by insisting on AMS I would have gotten soft immediately. Does not work that way. But ask me again a year from now and I will probably answer what implant oh yes that's right but I really don't notice it except at bedtime. That is my hope and goal.
Good luck finding the right Doctor makes all the difference.
