My surgery is scheduled for September 25th at the VA hospital in Indy, IN. Yesterday I met Dr. Matt Mellon, my surgeon, and Dr. Alex Tatum, his chief urology resident. I'll have to say that I feel very comfortable with them. I had a long list of questions and concerns and they took the time to answer them all. I brought my fiancé with me so she could be part of the interview. So far I am not nervous, but I am sure I will be as the date nears. In the mean time I am going to use my trusty VED to pump up several times a day to get ready.
As for my decision, Viagra and similar pills never did much for me. I used a VED for several years, then moved to Edex injections. When they stopped working I went back to a VED. Frankly, I got tired of the messy and inconvenient pump.
I have reviewed many of your posts regarding your implant journeys and I think I need to go in that direction. Thanks for all the sharing of personal stories as they were very helpful.
Any advice as the date draws near?
