I am now bionic!!!

Postby aa2120 » Thu Nov 17, 2011 2:02 pm

Had surgery yesterday to fix a hernia followed by an AMS implant. It probably was a LGX, but the doctor said if he found a lot of scar tissue he may use a Cx. I haven't talked to him since surgery. He finished surgery about 2 pm and I was home by 8 pm. The only problem I had was difficulty urinating. At first it burned a lot when I peed and only a little dribble came out. The nursed wouldn't let me go home until I could get a stream going. Now everything seems to be OK in that department. One of my testicles is swollen, but not bad. New pump is staying where it belongs at the bottom of the scrotum. Keeping ice packs on the area. Pain is about 2-3 so far. I took some Percocet last night, but don't need them now. BM is my next hurtle. Taking stool softener, but might have to turn to a laxative. So far not bad at all. Looking forward to activation in 6 weeks.
Keep you guys posted on my progress. Thanks again for all the sharing that goes on at the site. It sure made the decision process easier.

Ricky, youv'e checked off all but one hurdle and that doen't sound like anything more than a good cup of coffee will be needed. Glad to hear you are comfortable, it isn't always that way. I for one will be glad to read your reports as you heal and get used to the implant. Congrats,

Larry, good luck on your implant and I hope it goes as easy as Ricky's did. If it doesn't the discomfort won't last that long, so don't worry.

To the both of you, I think you will find these things and the operation will deliver which is not always the case in other surgerys. Basiscally they work good, almost all of the time.

I am now 3 days post operative and doing good. Yesterday I was out of sorts with sore throat and a general blah feeling, but much better today after a good night sleep. No pain and I am not taking any Percocet. Still some swelling in the testicles, but not bad. keeping ice on the area and trying to keep my feet up. Can feel the pump in the scrotum and it seems to have moved up. The surgeon didn't tell me to pull down on it to get it seated, but I am going to started trying to do that based on what others have said on this site. Penis is hard so I would guess the doc has it inflated. I hope it isn't fully inflated because I won't have much to work with. looking forward to that follow up appt. with doc in 10 days.

Congrats, Ricky...I had my implant on the 7th, and have healed very quickly, except for some discomfort in the testicles. I think it's due to the overcrowding of the pump in my small scrotum. So far, it's staying put. I have pulled down on it and if yours is migrating upward, you may need to do it too. He had me start that at a week. You sound as though you're moving right along. Each day will get better. Like you, my penis is erect, but don't know how many %...some have said 20% and other 50%. I go in on Tuesday to begin cycling. I don't know if he'll inflate it initially to 100% or not...I think it's a gradual thing. I'm anxious to see how it looks at full inflation though. My girth has increased a lot already. I know length takes time. Best wishes for continued healing and I'm sure we can all look forward to enjoying our new found bionics.

Larry, your implant is the same day as my uro appt. Best wishes for a successful implant. Hope you'll be happy with it...

7 days post op. Feeling great and ready to put this thing to work. Have to wait another 6 days for followup with Doc. I will then find out whether or not he put in an LGX or a CX. He said he may have to use a CX if he found a lot of scar tissue and if it was to hard open up. I hope that was the not the case. I pumped aggressively for 5 weeks before surgery.
I have tried to use the pump, but it feels has hard as a rock. I have read on this forum about the two hand method, but still can't get the pump to work. Does the pump get softer with use?? Do you bruise the tissue on the scrotum every time you use the pump? Also, I keep pulling down the pump, but it doesn't seem to come down. It stays behind a testicle close to the top. I am wondering if he put in long enough tubing

Ricky.

Ricky ~ When you go to the uro, he's likely going to pump you to 100% or so and then deflate you....and make sure you know how to do it. You shouldn't use the pump yet. It's still a little early. If he told you to, that's fine...otherwise, I'd wait. The pump is very stiff. When you squeeze it really hard, it'll kind of pop and that locks it so only fluid going into your cock can pass. I haven't been able to squeeze the pump all the way yet, but it still pumps me up. It doesn't get softer, just gets easier to use as you learn. Right now, my scrotum is still very sensitive...I don't bruise, but get tender. You should keep pulling down on the pump...you might have to pull pretty hard on it, but you won't hurt it or you. My uro wants it down low in the sac and it's to the right side...makes it easier to get to. I don't have a big scrotum, so it seems crowded in there to me. He probably has you partially inflated right now. Please PM me if you have any questions. I've only had mine for 2.5 weeks now. Have to wait to 8 weeks to use it...my doc is conservative he said. It's killing me to wait. I'm pretty horny already...can't stand to wait. But follow the docs orders and you'll do fine.

13 days post op and doing fine. Had my follow up visit with surgeon today. He took the bandaids off the incisions and I told him that was the most painful part of the surgery. He said the incisions and everything looked great. He deflated my penis and told me to go home and inflate and deflate to get comfortable using it. He surprisingly didn't inflate it himself. Maybe he is uncomfortable with erections around the office. Surprisingly, he did not know if he put in an LGX or CX. It wasn't on his computer and he said he was pretty sure it was an LGX, but would have to look it up and get back to me. He also told me that he didn't think it was important to work it a lot to prevent scar tissue build up or to increase the size. That is contrary to what I have been reading on this site.
When I got home I pumped it up. Took only 4-5 pumps, no pain. Later I pumped it up until it hurt, maybe 5-7 pumps. Let it stay up for 5 min. It stung a little, but not too bad. I thought it took 18-20 pumps to get it fully inflated? What do you think? Before I had length of about 6 inches...this now looks more like 5 inches. Girth is about the same, but kind of oval.
So far I think every thing has gone as good as I could expect. The real test is when I can start using it in about a month.

I sometimes lose my input when I press the submit button. What am I doing wrong?
