How severe was / is your ED

Postby addige » Wed Jul 05, 2017 8:39 am

The biggest hesitation I have with going forward with the implant is the fact that I do get boners. Sometimes they are quite firm and I look at it and say - I don't need to do this but I know it's not enough for intercourse and I've seen this time and time again. There's a piece of me that thinks I'll get over it or something..

Did any of you guys who had the procedure done experience this?

Dude,
Unfortunately ED does not get better with time. Once erection quality starts going down it usually gets worse. Talk to a good Urologist about solutions and the possibility of an implant. The time is now, not later.

Personally I can't believe I too thought this way for nearly two decades. I still wake up every morning with a boner at age 64. I learned long ago however not to think it's usable. Soon as I climb on my wife with it it goes limp. The only remotely successful sex we can have is with her getting on top before the hard on goes limp. The limp happens waaaay too soon. I only learned after over 20 years of ED the cause of mine. While giving my medical history at the uro's office I mentioned the removal of my sigmoid colon at age 40. The doc asked me when my ED began. I said around age 40. He told me the colectomy was the culprit because of nerves and tissue that can get damaged during the sigmoid removal. Funny thing is the gung ho surgeon who was doing the job never mentioned I'd be left with a dead dick. The morning erections only happen because with T therapy my level is near the top of the scale. Still, for way too many years it has left me thinking there is hope for natural sex to happen. None of the pills help though and injections were a total bust. The uro told me the pills never could've helped with my surgical damage. I just got insurance approval and am trying to schedule surgery and recovery around an upcoming out of town obligation coming up soon. My best friend recently passed from a second round of cancer. He was a guitar collector and wanted me to play his favorite acoustic guitar at his celebration of life service and then keep the guitar the rest of my life. It's a four hour drive there so I have to make sure I'm not recovering from an implant! The service hasn't been scheduled yet.

To recap, please don't waste any more years like I did. It isn't likely to improve. I can't wait for the new lease on life being able to screw one of the most exciting vaginas in Texas again is gonna be!

I am with Donnie. So many of us with different stories and varied outcomes but with one common thread.....an inability to get an erection that will stay hard enough long enough to 'do the job'
It's an horrendous situation with a negative feedback loop. Pills, potions, pumps and needles. Donnie's is a salient point..... It isn't going to miraculously cure itself.
I think it was that realisation that made me take the ultimate step and become bionic and I don't profess to speak for others but, those who crossed that line did so not just to be able to be sexually functional again but to also restore dignity and confidence.
Addige old mate, my implant has me happy, overtly functional and able to do a better job of pleasing my partner because I have a 170mm penis that is ready for action anywhere, anytime-for as long as I need him to work.
Any concerns or worries I may have had have completly dissipated as I head towards 6 months implanted.
There isn't any downside.... None

I would say that many of us had ambivalence about getting the procedure. And I would say many of us had hopes of it getting better. But looking back on my 8 year battle with ED, it didn't get any better, and I tried everything. In fact, it progressively got worse. You say that your get boners that are firm, yet not enough for intercourse? Then that is a worthless boner if you ask me. I had great success with bimix injections for about 3 years, and then suddenly the injections only got me semi hard, not firm enough for intercourse. It sounds like you have the same thing going on. I assume you have tried pills. Have you tried injections? I'll be honest. Had the injections kept working, I would not have gotten an implant. But they stopped working, so I bit the bullet and got an implant, and I'm glad I did. Although I haven't used it yet. I'm still waiting for activation in a couple of weeks, I'm looking forward to having a hard dick again. If your dick aint working and you have tried everything, why wait. It won't magically get better. Good luck with your decision.

Dave, your story sounds similar to mine. Where is that exciting vagina based? Last years I visited Texas the first time. Stayed at Fredericksburg. Loved it a lot, want to visit that place and others again.

I agree man. I messed around for almost 20 years with pills and injections. I got tired of all of that and at 77 years old got my implant. I wish I had not wasted all those years. I am trying real hard to make up for lost time now. I am so happy and my wife is even more so.

Well, our youngest was almost 14 when I underwent my RP, and effective fucking had been a rare thing for pretty much all her life ... so I guess it was kinda severe, yep. What a waste.
