You made this decision
You volunteered
Did all the research, learned some things, and assumed some other things
Talked to your doctor non-stop
Talked to other Implantees
Did all the pre-op things
You’ve had very invasive surgery
Surgery doesn’t just affect the incision area; it seeps into every pore
You have foreign objects in your body
Your body doesn’t understand them yet
There’s a water balloon in your abdomen
You have two inflatable tubes in your dick
You have the equivalent of a third testicle
Be patient
Stay in bed as long as you need to
Prop your balls up with a rolled up towel
Get out of bed slowly
Don’t make any sudden moves
Don’t force healing
Be patient some more
Don’t lift anything you don’t have to
Sleep on your back
Be patient again
DO NOT roll over on your side for a couple of weeks
Take the pain pills if you need them
Take the stool softeners, or the enema, or the laxative
Don’t expect a giant cock right away
Don’t even expect the cock you were used to right away
Don't measure yet
Don’t judge your cock at all
You have a different body now
You have different genitals now
Your dick will never be the same, but at least it will work now
Repeat that over and over
Be patient some more
Take pictures
Record your reactions
Keep talking to other Implantees
Listen to your doctor
Keep being patient
Cycle only when it’s comfortable and only as much as you can handle
Practice patience a lot
Expect to have to adjust to the new you
Accept that your dick might show more
Your dick might get noticed
That’s OK; learn to live with it
It might take 6 months to a year to fully heal
You will have constant change down there for a while
Patience, Grasshopper
Feel free to add to the list!

Re: Day 12: I don't know what I don't know
Thank you for sharing your daily updates. As someone who is scheduled for surgery in December, these are really helping me get my head around this and get mentally prepared, and I’m sure I’m not alone.
