Dammit! Texted Hakky this morning. Cease and desist on cycling until the hematoma around the pump breaks up. Makes for a great bulge, but I want to keep my momentum going. (That being all of 2 cycling attempts) The good news is that bruising is almost gone and swelling is finally easing up.

I had to pause for a couple of weeks due to hematoma, it didn't hurt progress or results. I think you'll be fine.

Boston Scientific, for example, recommends a 3 to 4 week wait after implantation to begin cycling. That was the advice I received from my urologist, which doesn’t make your advice incorrect, but should be reassuring that a wait is not problematic, just a different standard.

ElbowRoom and I had the same surgeon who is a bit more aggressive on the first attempt: one week. I got 2 rounds in, and now I'm just feeling impatient and frustrated with the delay. I just need to put on my big boy jockstrap and move on...

There are different approaches to this matter from different doctors. Mine practice no cycling before six weeks recovery which f.i. in my case, was not enough. I dont know if the early rutine gives a benefit at all compared to waiting.
If I see your scrotum I cant imagine how to cycle without a lot of pain.

There's obviously not a consensus on starting times, for sure. Same for the benefits from what I can tell. I'm waiting it out to be safe. And trying to cycle doesn't really hurt, per se, it's just kind of scary and feels like something you stick your hand into in the dark at a Halloween haunted house. I don't want to cause any more trauma than has already been done.

wise decision bear, I liked your hand in the haunted house. suddenly you get slapped out of nowhere. Listen to your doctor but more important listen to your body.
Happy Halloween!
