Second revision in 6 month?

Postby vonLuger » Sat Oct 10, 2026 9:16 am

Hi everyone from bavaria,

I wanted to share my situation and hear your thoughts or experiences while I wait for my doctor to return from vacation.

In April of this year, I received an AMS 700 LGX implant. Unfortunately, it had a leak right from the start. This was discovered during my activation appointment, and a revision surgery was scheduled. The revision took place in July, and the same model was successfully re-implanted.

At the activation appointment six weeks later, no issues were found, and I started cycling. However, after a few days, I noticed a lump on the lower left side of my penile shaft towards the scrotum—or at least, that is what I initially thought it was. At first, it was about the size of a hazelnut, but it has now grown larger than a walnut.

By feeling it, I realized that the left cylinder is looping downward toward the scrotum. Because of this, it has slipped backward inside the penile shaft toward the glans by about 3.5 cm. In the deflated state, the cylinder sits roughly 2 cm behind the glans. When inflated, the tip only just reaches the glans but does not extend fully into it.

My doctor is still on vacation, but I would love to hear your assessment:

Can something like this be fixed easily, or am I actually facing a second revision within just half a year? Has anyone here experienced a similar case of cylinder migration? What are the causes for this, and where might the issue or mistake have occurred?

Thank you very much for your replies and insights!

This will definetely need a revision.

If you have a chance, i recommend you to get a 3 tesla MRI. You will see for sure what the problem is, maybe you had a proximal perforation, meaning the cylinder went inside your body and for that reason it does not reach the glans, or maybe the corporotomy opened and the cilinder is going out from the same place it went in. But in both scenarios a revision is likely, those things do not get fixed by themselves, sorry you are going through that.

Who was your doctor if i may ask?

Think it’s time to change Dr! As previously stated these things don’t get better. Sounds like a bad stitch job on the cavernosa or bad placement of cylinders. Agreed an MRI would show this but sounds like you’re in for another surgery. Sorry it’s happening to you my friend
